Yes—but RadioShack’s U.S. return is not a revival of its former company-owned store chain. Under Unicomer Group, the brand is rebuilding around products sold through online marketplaces and a network of independent authorized dealers. Its current mix pairs retro electronics with practical accessories, DIY components and STEM products.
What “RadioShack is back” means
RadioShack is returning as a product brand and distribution business, not by reopening the nationwide corporate-store operation many customers remember. Unicomer Group acquired RadioShack’s U.S. brand rights in 2023, according to TWICE’s October 2, 2026 report. The company’s January 2025 announcement says Grupo Unicomer acquired RadioShack intellectual property, related assets and domains in approximately 70 countries in May 2023; that describes the assets acquired, not a return of the former operating company or its old store chain (RadioShack / Unicomer Group).
The new approach is a mix of marketplaces and independent authorized dealers. TWICE reported more than 170 U.S. authorized dealers on October 2, 2026. That is a dealer network, not evidence that the old company-owned footprint has been restored.
What RadioShack sells now
The current assortment aims to connect RadioShack’s reputation for useful electronics with retro design. Executives told TWICE that turntables and retro-style radios are among the brand’s strongest-performing products. The October 2026 report also describes cassette and CD players, including products with modern features such as Bluetooth.

Retro products and everyday electronics
Turntables and radios are the clearest examples of the nostalgia-led range, but the proposition is not limited to collectibles or vintage looks. In an August 26, 2026 interview, Managing Director Kevin Hamann described a mix that also includes Bluetooth earbuds, smart-home devices and portable chargers. He called the intended blend “that combination of nostalgia and everyday utility” (TWICE interview).
RadioShack’s executives identify turntables as a prominent category and Amazon as one of the brand’s sales channels, but the cited reporting does not establish a specific model or confirm a live listing. Check the current product page before relying on an exact model, price or availability.

DIY, components and STEM
The brand is also bringing back soldering kits, resistors, transistors and other components. Batteries and cables remain part of the practical electronics assortment, while DIY electronics, STEM products and remote-control toys are receiving additional attention. These categories echo RadioShack’s former role as a place to find parts and work on projects, but they are now part of a broader product strategy.

Those are dated company-announcement figures and a development target, not a verified current catalog count (company announcement). Where RadioShack sells its products
In the August 2026 interview, Hamann named Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy and TikTok among the brand’s marketplace channels. He said Target and Macy’s activity at that time was online through third-party marketplace platforms—not placement on their physical-store shelves. A small in-store presence was described only as something the company might test later. Hamann also said eBay was expected to launch soon; that was a plan at interview time, not confirmation of its current status.
Authorized dealers provide another route to shoppers. Hamann told TWICE that more than 170 former RadioShack stores had reconnected through the dealer program. The October 2026 report also cited the company’s store locator as its most-visited website page, attributing that observation to Hamann; no traffic figures were supplied.

Why the new strategy leans on nostalgia without stopping there
RadioShack’s executives present the brand’s history as a way to attract attention to products people can use now, rather than a reason to recreate the old retail experience. Hamann said, “Heritage is our biggest asset, but only if we don’t let it freeze us in time.” In the October 2026 report, he described the goal as becoming “a destination for retro tech.”

That is an executive account of customer response, not independently measured demographic research. The same distinction applies to company descriptions of strong-selling categories: the cited reports do not provide independent sales or consumer-preference data.
What RadioShack says it plans next
In August 2026, Hamann said the next 12 to 24 months would focus on expanding retail and marketplace reach, growing the authorized-dealer program and broadening categories such as STEM, RC toys and smart home. He also described a migration to Shopify as a plan. These are statements made at the time of the interview, not confirmation that every initiative remains underway or is complete.
The practical test of the comeback is therefore not whether the familiar chain reappears, but whether the brand can make its mix of retro products, useful accessories and hands-on electronics available through its newer sales routes. The cited reporting describes that strategy; it does not establish whether it will succeed.
