MP1st reported on September 30, 2026, that Naughty Dog is working on an all-new Uncharted game and that Nathan Drake will appear in some form. The studio has not confirmed the project in the official material reviewed, and the report does not establish whether Drake would be the lead, a supporting character, or a cameo.
What has been reported about the new Uncharted game?
MP1st’s September 30 report, based on unnamed sources familiar with the situation, describes the project as an all-new Uncharted game rather than a remake. That is a report, not an official announcement. MP1st’s report is the source for those claims.
GamesRadar+ followed on October 1, describing the story as a report and noting corroboration from NateTheHate. That additional reporting does not amount to confirmation from Naughty Dog or PlayStation. GamesRadar+’s follow-up also stresses that Drake’s role is unclear.

According to MP1st, Drake will appear “in some form.” The report explicitly says it could not determine whether he would be the protagonist, a side character, or a cameo. It therefore does not establish that Drake is the playable lead or that the story centers on him.

- Seek your fortune and leave your mark on the map in the UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection.
- Uncover the thrilling cinematic storytelling and the largest blockbuster action set pieces in the UNCHARTED franchise
- Delivered by award winning developer Naughty Dog, the UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection includes the two critically-acclaimed UNCHARTED 4: A Thief's End and UNCHARTED: The Lost Legacy.
- Each story is filled with laughs, drama, high octane combat, and a sense of wonder - remastered to be even more immersive.
- Live the adventure like never before with the features and incredible speed of the PlayStation 5 console.
That distinction matters because the headline-level claim that Drake is “back” can suggest a full return to the starring role. The evidence currently supports only a reported appearance of some kind, with the nature and scale of that appearance unknown.
Who is reportedly directing it, and where does it fit in Naughty Dog’s plans?
MP1st names Shaun Escayg, director of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, as director of the reported game. It also says the game would follow Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, with The Last of Us Part III after it. Naughty Dog has not confirmed those details in the official material reviewed, and the reported ordering is not a release schedule; plans can change.

Has Naughty Dog announced the game or confirmed a release date?
No. The official Naughty Dog material reviewed does not announce this Uncharted project. The sources reviewed also provide no confirmed release date, platforms, price, preorder, or official product listing. You can check the studio’s official website for studio updates, but the absence of a post on the pages reviewed is not proof that no project exists.
Is it a remake?
MP1st characterizes the reported project as an all-new game, not a remake. Because that description comes from unnamed sources and has not been confirmed by Naughty Dog, it should be treated as part of the report rather than established product information.
