Short answer: There is no complete, regulator-verified nationwide list showing where Kickr is legal. Whether you can open the service, use a particular feature, and legally take part in its prize or wagering activity are separate questions. As of October 2026, regulators have publicly challenged Kickr’s activity in Illinois and reported that it left Tennessee.
What “legal” means for Kickr
A site or app being accessible does not establish that every feature is permitted in your state. Check three things separately:
- Service access: Does Kickr let you register or use the service from your location?
- Feature access: Are sports wagering, casino-style games, or other prize features available there?
- State authorization: Has the relevant regulator authorized the specific activity? A feature appearing in an app is not proof of authorization.
State rules differ, and the available official records do not establish a complete current state-by-state list for Kickr.

How to check your state before using Kickr
- Identify the feature. Determine whether you are checking sports wagering, casino-style games, or another prize-based activity; authorization for one activity does not automatically establish authorization for another.
- Check your state regulator’s current information. Use the gaming or sports-wagering regulator for the state where you are physically located, and look for its authorized-operator list and any notices naming Kickr.
- Compare the regulator record with Kickr’s current terms and location restrictions. These can clarify whether the service or a feature is available, but availability alone does not prove state authorization.
- Do not treat a missing notice as approval. If the regulator does not clearly address Kickr or the feature, the sources do not establish that it is authorized; contact the regulator for clarification before participating.
For Illinois sports wagering, the Illinois Gaming Board’s authorized sportsbook list identifies the operators the Board authorizes to conduct sports wagering in the state. Check the current list rather than relying on an old article or a service’s availability screen.

Why online state lists may disagree
A secondary guide, marked updated August 11, 2026, claims that Kickr has partial availability in 46 states and full access in 34. It identifies Iowa, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Washington, Alabama, South Carolina, Montana, Nevada, Mississippi, Indiana, Hawaii, Idaho, and Minnesota as states with casino-only access or restrictions. Those are the guide’s claims, not regulator-confirmed legal findings, so they should be treated as leads rather than a legal-state list. The guide may also use “available” differently from a regulator’s use of “authorized.”
For that reason, a state count cannot answer whether a particular Kickr activity is lawful for you today. Prefer current regulator information for your state, and distinguish service access from authorization of the activity.
