JonnyGuru’s power-supply review output had become sparse by 2019, and forum users described the review operation as effectively over by 2021. A report published in 2026 says the domain no longer serves the review site. There is no confirmed closure date or official explanation, so the clearest answer is that JonnyGuru appears to have wound down rather than that a documented shutdown was announced.

How JonnyGuru’s review activity changed

By 2019, readers had noticed a sharp slowdown

On October 13, 2019, an AnandTech Forums user observed that JonnyGuru had published just one review so far that year, in April. That is a contemporaneous reader’s count, not an independently verified total for the site. The thread captures the question of whether the site was getting out of reviewing power supplies: the 2019 AnandTech discussion.

In 2021, forum users called the operation effectively over

On February 3, 2021, users on [H]ard|Forum described the site as dead and said the last person involved in its PSU reviews had retired. Those posts are community accounts, not an official announcement from JonnyGuru or its operator: the [H]ard|Forum discussion.

Another AnandTech thread from 2021 discusses the site’s apparent loss as a live destination and the difficulty of finding complete, usable Wayback Machine captures. It supports the conclusion that readers lacked an easy-to-navigate archive; it does not establish that every copy of the material was lost: the 2021 AnandTech archive discussion.

A 2026 report says the domain no longer serves the review site

An iTechGuides article dated September 30, 2026 says Jonnyguru.com is effectively gone as a live review site and reports that a domain-status service saw it redirect to a parking page in April 2026. The article itself was not directly retrievable, so this account rests on its search-indexed excerpt. A parked domain means the original review service was not being delivered at that address at the reported time; it does not prove private backups were destroyed: iTechGuides’ 2026 account of what happened to JonnyGuru.

What is—and is not—known about why it wound down

Forum commenters linked the decline to Jeremy Schrag, known as OklahomaWolf, retiring from PSU reviews, and to Jon Gerow’s work in the PSU industry at Corsair. A [H]ard|Forum contributor said Gerow had handed review work to Schrag and that Schrag retired in 2018; similar claims appeared in the AnandTech discussion. These are plausible community explanations, but the sources do not confirm a definitive chain of events.

A 2018 GamersNexus interview identifies Gerow with JonnyGuru and Corsair, and describes the beginning of GamersNexus’s own detailed PSU testing. It provides industry context, not evidence that Corsair caused JonnyGuru to stop reviewing, restricted its reviews, or made the site close: the GamersNexus interview with Jon Gerow.

Can you still read JonnyGuru’s old PSU reviews?

Some historical material may survive in web archives, but the 2021 discussion documents incomplete captures and the lack of a convenient, complete archive. The available accounts do not verify a full collection or guarantee that a particular review can still be retrieved. If looking for an old review, search for its title or the PSU model alongside “JonnyGuru” and check available archived snapshots; treat missing pages as unavailable, not proof that no copy exists.
