Fliff is not listed as an authorized Tennessee sports wagering operator on the Tennessee Sports Wagering Council’s approved licensee list. The Council says it is illegal to bet on sports in Tennessee with an operator that is not listed. That does not, by itself, establish the legal status or availability of every separate Fliff feature, so check the current rules for the specific product you intend to use.
Is Fliff legal in Tennessee?
If you mean using Fliff to place sports bets, the state’s current guidance points to no: Fliff does not appear on the Tennessee Sports Wagering Council’s approved operator list, and the Council says sports betting with an unlisted operator is illegal in Tennessee. The Council also warns that betting with an offshore, unlicensed sportsbook may be a crime under Tennessee Code Annotated § 39-17-502. Check the Council’s approved licensees and its warning before placing a sports bet.
This is a conclusion about Fliff’s absence from the licensed sports wagering list—not a definitive legal ruling about every feature Fliff may offer. The reviewed official sources do not establish whether each feature, such as a free-to-play or promotional product, is available in Tennessee or how it is classified.

What the Tennessee operator list does—and does not—show
What it shows
The Tennessee Sports Wagering Council publishes a list of licensed sports wagering operators and tells bettors to use it to check whether an operator is authorized. Fliff is absent from the listed operators on the page reviewed. For sports wagering, that means you should not treat Fliff as a Tennessee-authorized sportsbook.

What it does not show
The list is not a complete determination of the legal status of every product feature, promotion, or game an app might offer. A feature that is not sports wagering may raise a different question from placing a sports bet. The official sources cited here do not verify Fliff’s Tennessee availability or classify each of its features.
How to check before using a sports betting app
- Open the Tennessee Sports Wagering Council’s Approved Licensees & Registrants page.
- Look for the operator’s name in the online sports wagering list. If it is not listed, do not place a sports bet through it in Tennessee; the Council says betting with an unlisted operator is illegal.
- If you are asking about a non-betting feature, check Fliff’s current terms for Tennessee eligibility and the feature’s classification. The operator list alone cannot answer that question.
The Council also cautions that it cannot recover funds for bettors who cannot withdraw money from an offshore, unlicensed sportsbook. That warning is specific to those unlicensed sports betting services; do not assume a regulator can resolve a dispute with an operator it does not license.

The Council says the General Assembly gave it online sports wagering authority through Public Chapter 593, which became law on May 27, 2021, and took effect January 1, 2022. The Council’s About Us page provides that history.

What to do if you already have a Fliff account
- Do not place sports bets in Tennessee through an operator that is absent from the Council’s approved list.
- For questions about a particular non-betting feature, check Fliff’s current terms or ask Fliff directly whether it is available to Tennessee users. The Council list does not settle feature-specific questions.
- For the latest operator status, rely on the Council’s live approved licensee list, since operator authorization can change.
