What “free to play” means in Memory Key
Apple’s US App Store listing labels the English/global app “Free · In-App Purchases.” The Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau Google Play description is more explicit: “This game is free to use. The game also provides paid services such as purchasing virtual game coins and items.” These statements establish a free entry point alongside optional paid virtual content; they do not mean every item or currency is free.
Memory Key is presented as an officially licensed adaptation of Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, built around collecting Sakura-themed items. Store listings can differ by region: Apple names Hong Kong Bin Ming Internet Technology Co., Limited as seller/developer on its US listing, Google Play displays HeartsNet on its English/global listing, and the Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau Google Play listing identifies Snier Digital as its authorized agent. Those labels apply to their respective listings, not necessarily to every market. The game’s rollout has also varied: QingCi Games says it launched in mainland China in September 2023, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan in October 2023, and Vietnam in October 2025; its 2025 annual report said a Japan release was planned for 2026. These dates do not confirm availability in every territory today.

Are Cardcaptor Sakura charms part of the game’s purchases?
No. Physical Cardcaptor Sakura charms sold through the Bandai Namco Parks storefront are franchise merchandise, separate from Memory Key’s virtual coins, items and in-app purchases. They are not established as game accessories or as a way to unlock game content.
