Yes—Bucky Irving was expected to play for Tampa Bay against Green Bay on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026. The Buccaneers listed him as a full participant Friday and gave him no game-status designation. That points to availability, not a guarantee that he will play or have a full workload.
Why Irving was expected to play
Irving was listed with a glute injury. His practice participation improved through the week: limited on Wednesday, limited on Thursday, and full on Friday. Tampa Bay’s Oct. 2 injury report showed no game-status designation for him.
A same-day CBS Sports/RotoWire report also described Irving as having no injury designation. Its suggestion that he was on track for a normal role was analysis, not a team commitment about his touches.

- Availability: Friday’s full practice and lack of a game designation supported the expectation that Irving would be available against the Packers.
- Workload: The reports do not establish how many carries or snaps he would receive.
- Game-day certainty: A Friday practice report cannot guarantee that he will take the field, remain healthy, or finish the game. Check Tampa Bay’s official inactive list close to kickoff for a later update.
Fantasy context as of Oct. 3
CBS Sports displayed 40 carries, 180 rushing yards, 4.5 yards per carry, and one rushing touchdown for Irving through Tampa Bay’s first three games of 2026. Those are past results, not a forecast. The available reports do not provide a dependable individual workload projection, so use later availability news and your roster alternatives when making a lineup decision.

Tampa Bay’s Friday report ruled out quarterback Baker Mayfield (right thumb), outside linebacker Reuben Bain Jr. (groin/shoulder), cornerback Benjamin Morrison (quad), and tight end Ko Kieft (elbow). The report does not establish how those absences would affect Irving’s touches.
