The iQOO Z9s Pro is a good fit for buyers in India who want a curved 120Hz AMOLED display, strong everyday performance and long battery life. Its daylight rear camera is another strength. The trade-offs are less convincing selfies, preinstalled apps and a software-update commitment that may feel short beside some rivals. Whether it is worth buying depends heavily on the price of the exact storage variant: launch prices and a later official listing snapshot differ substantially.
What does the iQOO Z9s Pro offer?
Vivo’s India product page lists the handset as the iQOO Z9s Pro 5G, with 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB configurations. The listed hardware includes a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with 2392×1080 resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate, a 5500mAh typical-capacity battery, 80W FlashCharge, a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The page also lists Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14, IP64 dust and water resistance, stereo speakers and VC liquid cooling. These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independent test results. Vivo India product listing
How much does it cost in India?
There is no single price in the available snapshots that should be treated as today’s market price. 91mobiles and Gadgets 360 report the same India launch-era prices, while the vivo listing captured for this review showed a higher price for the top configuration and marked it unavailable. What are the iQOO Z9s Pro’s main strengths?
Curved, high-refresh AMOLED display
The 6.77-inch AMOLED panel combines Full HD+ resolution with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. 91mobiles praised outdoor visibility, while both 91mobiles and Gadgets 360 list peak brightness of 4,500 nits. That peak figure is a specification; it should not be read as a sustained brightness measurement independently established by these reviews. The curved screen and vivid AMOLED presentation are attractive if you like that format, but a curved edge is a matter of preference rather than an automatic advantage.
Capable everyday performance
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 is mid-range hardware, and 91mobiles judged the reviewed phone capable in routine use and gaming. Its 2024 review of the 12GB model reported 803,223 in AnTuTu and 62% peak-performance retention in its Burnout CPU throttle test. Gadgets 360’s separate 2024 test run reported 1,136 single-core and 3,091 multi-core in Geekbench 6, 814,328 in AnTuTu v10, and 10,460 in PCMark Work 3.0. These are results from different review units or runs and methods, so they are useful as attributed snapshots, not guaranteed scores for every phone.

- Folding multi-angle support, you can adjust the support angle according to the use of the scene
- PC hard back panel + soft silicone frame + four corners Shock Airbags
- The frosted surface effectively prevents most fingerprints, and the carbon fiber texture design is stylish
- Case is higher than the camera as well as the screen, providing better flat protection
Long-lasting battery, with fast charging
Vivo lists a 5500mAh typical capacity (5390mAh minimum) and 80W charging. In its 2024 tests, 91mobiles recorded 14 hours 22 minutes in PCMark’s battery test and charged from 20% to 100% in 39 minutes using the in-box charger. Gadgets 360’s 2024 HD battery loop ran for 26 hours 42 minutes; in its charging test, the phone reached 33% in 15 minutes, 57% in 30 minutes and full in 52 minutes. Because the battery protocols and charging conditions differ, these figures should not be averaged or used as a direct ranking between reviews.
Good daylight output from the main rear camera
91mobiles found the main camera detailed in daylight, with vivid colors and good dynamic range. It also reported strong portrait detail and edge detection, though it found the background blur unnatural. Gadgets 360 described daylight photos as crisp with decent dynamic range. The reviewers differ in their low-light assessments: 91mobiles noted that default exposure could brighten scenes while limiting dynamic range, whereas Gadgets 360 viewed its low-light results more positively. These are their editorial observations, not a guarantee for every scene.

What are the drawbacks?
Selfies are a weaker point
91mobiles identified the front camera as a weakness, reporting that it smoothed facial detail and darkened skin tones compared with the OnePlus Nord CE4 in its comparison. If selfies or video calls are a priority, give this more weight than the phone’s rear-camera daylight strengths.
Preinstalled apps and support term
The phone launched with Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 according to vivo’s listing; that launch software information does not establish the current rollout state. 91mobiles reported 47 preinstalled apps in its comparison and cited a two-year OS and three-year security update commitment. Gadgets 360 also criticized bloatware and considered the Android-upgrade provision subpar against competition. For context, 91mobiles’ comparison listed three years of OS updates and four years of security updates for the Nothing Phone (2a), versus two and three years respectively for the iQOO and OnePlus Nord CE4. Treat those as review-era comparison figures, not a current policy check.

Finish and handling vary by version and reviewer
91mobiles described its reviewed handset as well-built despite its plastic body, relatively light at 185g in that finish, and slippery because of its glossy surface; it said a transparent TPU case was supplied. It listed thicknesses of 7.49mm and 7.99mm for the color variants. Gadgets 360 reported 190g and a 7.49mm profile, and described the finishes differently. These measurements and impressions differ by reviewed version or source, so neither weight nor finish description should be generalized to every color without checking the exact unit.

Should you buy the iQOO Z9s Pro?
Consider it if the price you can actually buy is competitive and your priorities are the curved 120Hz AMOLED display, battery endurance, fast charging and competent general performance. It is less compelling if you want cleaner software, a longer update commitment, or consistently strong selfies. Compare like-for-like storage configurations and current prices; the historical launch figures do not establish what represents good value today. For a detailed comparison, 91mobiles found the OnePlus Nord CE4 stronger for selfies and the Nothing Phone (2a) cleaner in software with a longer cited update term, while rating the iQOO well for display, battery and daylight photography. Verify current pricing and software policies independently before choosing between them.
