The iQOO 15R is the stronger on-paper pick for its listed chipset, larger battery and faster refresh rate; the vivo V70 Elite stands out for its dedicated telephoto camera, lighter listed weight and documented IP68/IP69 rating. In official India store listings checked on October 7, 2026, the 8GB + 256GB iQOO 15R was ₹53,999 and the 12GB + 256GB vivo V70 Elite was ₹71,999. That ₹18,000 difference is not a like-for-like price comparison, and the vivo variant was out of stock.

#1 Best Overall
For context, iQOO Connect’s February 24, 2026 launch announcement gave launch prices of ₹40,999 for 8GB + 256GB, ₹43,999 for 12GB + 256GB and ₹48,999 for 12GB + 512GB, with sales starting March 3, 2026. Those are historical launch prices, not the later store listing above.
Which phone has the better performance and display specifications?
Processor
The iQOO 15R’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is the newer named platform in these listed specifications, compared with the vivo V70 Elite’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. That gives iQOO the paper advantage on chipset positioning, but the specifications alone do not establish how the phones perform in sustained gaming, demanding apps or everyday use. No independent side-by-side benchmark or thermal test is established here.
Rank #2
- Slim and Lightweight Design: Slim profile with durable TPU material provides everyday protection without adding bulk
- Shockproof and Scratch Resistant: Flexible TPU construction absorbs shocks and protects your device from drops, impacts, and scratches
- Precise Cutouts and Easy Access: Designed with accurate cutouts for effortless access to all ports, buttons, and cameras
- Screen Protector Friendly: Compatible with most screen protectors, featuring soft flexible edges that prevent lifting or bubbling
- Camera Lens Protection and Good Grip: Raised edges protect camera lenses from scratches while soft texture ensures a secure comfortable grip
Display
Both phones list a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel at 2750 × 1260 resolution. iQOO specifies a 130Hz refresh rate for normal scenes, while vivo lists up to 120Hz. iQOO also lists 360Hz gaming touch sampling; touch sampling is not the same as display refresh rate, and that figure should not be read as a 360Hz screen.
Which phone has the more flexible camera setup?
The vivo V70 Elite has the more varied listed rear-camera hardware: in addition to its main and ultrawide cameras, it includes a dedicated 50MP telephoto camera with OIS. That gives it a separate telephoto option for framing distant subjects. iQOO lists a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide, without a dedicated telephoto camera in the cited specifications.
Rank #3
- Multi-Card Slot Design: Features 3 card slots and 1 photo window, perfect for storing credit cards, IDs, and cherished memories
- Built-In Hidden Wallet: Includes a concealed cash pocket, allowing you to carry money securely without a separate wallet
- Premium PU Leather Material: Made from high-quality PU leather that offers a soft touch, elegant look, and durable daily protection
- Magnetic Flip Cover & Kickstand: Magnetic closure ensures secure fastening, while the foldable design doubles as a stand for hands-free viewing
- Precise Cutouts & Full Protection: Accurate cutouts for camera, buttons, and ports ensure easy access while offering comprehensive protection
For selfies, vivo lists a 50MP ZEISS autofocus camera, compared with the iQOO’s 32MP front camera. Resolution and the presence of autofocus describe hardware, not final image quality. The listed specifications do not establish which phone produces better photos or video in real-world use.
Which phone is likely to suit your battery and portability priorities?
Battery and charging
iQOO lists a 7600mAh typical-capacity battery and 100W charging; vivo lists 6500mAh typical capacity and 90W charging. Both figures favor iQOO on the specification sheet. They do not establish actual battery life or how long either phone takes to charge, which depend on usage and test conditions.

What do the durability and software details establish?
vivo lists IP68 and IP69 ingress-protection ratings for the V70 Elite. The consulted iQOO 15R parameter page does not state an IP rating; that documentation gap is not proof that the phone has no protection.
Both manufacturers list OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 for these phones. iQOO Connect’s launch announcement additionally promises four years of Android upgrades and six years of security updates for the iQOO 15R. The consulted vivo product page does not establish a comparable update-duration commitment, so the available sources do not support a direct comparison of support length.
Which phone should you buy?
- Choose the iQOO 15R if you prioritize the newer named processor platform, the higher listed refresh rate, larger stated battery capacity or higher rated wired charging. These are specification-based advantages, not proof of superior measured performance or endurance.
- Choose the vivo V70 Elite if a dedicated telephoto camera with OIS, a lighter listed weight or a documented IP68/IP69 rating matters more to you.
- Compare matching variants before paying: both models offer 256GB and 512GB storage with 8GB or 12GB RAM, but the observed store prices above cover different RAM tiers and the vivo listing was out of stock.
Neither specification sheet establishes a universal winner. A decision based on camera results, sustained gaming, heat, screen visibility or battery endurance needs independent testing under comparable conditions.
