The iQOO 15R is the stronger specification-led choice for performance, battery capacity and charging; the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G offers a larger advertised display and a lower price in the India listings cited here. The choice depends on local pricing and which features matter most. The prices below are a third-party India snapshot, not guaranteed live checkout prices.

Which phone is better for gaming and performance?
On listed hardware, the iQOO 15R has the performance advantage: its India specification page names the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while TECNO names the Dimensity 7400 Ultimate and a separate P1 graphics chip. These chip names indicate different hardware platforms, but they do not establish how either phone performs in every game or under sustained load. No independently verified, like-for-like gaming test is available here, so treat the spec comparison as an indicator rather than a measured frame-rate verdict.
TECNO advertises an option for 144FPS in PUBG MOBILE, but its product page says the “144FPS (Ultra Extreme)” option is expected through a future major game update by October 2026 and depends on the official rollout. That is a conditional, game- and software-dependent feature—not a guarantee that the setting is currently available on every device or in every region.

Which display is bigger or smoother?
TECNO advertises a 1.5K 144Hz display, while iQOO India specifies a 6.59-inch, 2750 × 1260 AMOLED panel with a 130Hz refresh rate for normal scenes and 360Hz gaming touch sampling. The 360Hz figure is touch sampling, not the display refresh rate.
There is a discrepancy in published specifications: the 91mobiles comparison lists the iQOO 15R at 144Hz, but iQOO’s India specification page says 130Hz for normal scenes. For an India purchase, the manufacturer’s regional specification is the safer figure to rely on. TECNO’s advertised 144Hz is higher on paper, but that alone does not establish which screen looks better or feels smoother in every use.

How do battery capacity and charging compare?
iQOO lists a 7600mAh typical battery and 100W charging; TECNO lists 6500mAh and 45W. Those figures give the iQOO an advantage in stated capacity and rated charging power. They do not guarantee a particular screen-on time or charging duration: actual results can vary with settings, network conditions, temperature, charger compatibility and use.

iQOO’s India specification page gives a more complete rear-camera listing: a 50MP Sony LYT-700V main camera and an 8MP ultrawide, plus a 32MP selfie camera. TECNO highlights a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C main camera with optical image stabilization, but the official product page cited here does not confirm the full regional camera set. A third-party comparison lists a 13MP front camera for TECNO; verify that figure against the specification for the exact market and variant before using it to decide.

These specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos. Sensor names and megapixel counts alone cannot show image processing, video quality or performance in different lighting.
What is the price difference?
In the 91mobiles comparison accessed on October 7, 2026, the iQOO 15R was shown at ₹53,990 on Amazon and the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G at ₹49,999 on Flipkart—a listed difference of ₹3,991, with the TECNO lower. These are volatile India marketplace listings, not confirmed live checkout prices or a guarantee that the same variants are being compared. Do not confuse those India listings with iQOO’s Indonesia launch price: iQOO announced a starting price of Rp7,299,000 for Indonesia in February 2026. That is a launch-price figure for a different market, not the current India price.
Which one should you buy?
Choose the iQOO 15R if
- You prioritize the higher-tier chipset named on the India specification page.
- You want the larger stated battery capacity and faster rated charging.
- You want an officially specified ultrawide rear camera and 32MP front camera.
Consider the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G if
- You prefer its advertised 1.5K 144Hz display.
- The lower price is more important to you, and a current local listing confirms the saving for the variant you want.
- You are interested in its advertised gaming features but are willing to check whether game-specific options have actually rolled out in your region.
For India, the cited listing makes TECNO cheaper by ₹3,991, but that difference can disappear or change as retailer prices move. Compare like-for-like RAM and storage variants, then weigh the confirmed local price against the performance, display and battery specifications you value most.
