The POCO F9 Ultra has the larger display, a higher-capacity battery, a more versatile rear-camera array and wireless charging; the iQOO 15R is smaller and has a 144Hz display, while both list 100W wired charging. There is no reliable universal price difference: the available prices cover different countries and configurations, and one POCO UK price is inconsistent. Compare local prices for the same storage tier before deciding.
Are both phones available, or is the POCO F9 Ultra still upcoming?
The iQOO 15R is officially announced: iQOO Indonesia published its launch announcement on 25 February 2026. The POCO F9 Ultra also has launch-era review coverage: TechRadar published a hands-on review dated 15 September 2026. A 91mobiles comparison page still labels the POCO “Upcoming,” so that page’s status appears stale and should not be treated as confirmation that the phone has not launched.
Availability and exact specifications can vary by country. The iQOO specifications below come from its India product page, while its launch price comes from Indonesia; those are not interchangeable regional details. POCO specifications are from TechRadar’s review.

Which phone has the better display?
The POCO gives you more screen area at 6.9 inches versus the iQOO’s 6.59 inches. The iQOO’s listed 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate are straightforward headline specifications. The POCO’s quoted 185Hz is conditional: TechRadar says it applies in compatible games, while general use typically runs at up to 120Hz. A higher maximum refresh rate alone does not establish that games will look or feel better across titles.

Which has the stronger battery and charging setup?
On capacity, the POCO lists 8,050mAh; the iQOO lists 7,600mAh typical capacity, with 7,440mAh rated capacity. These numbers do not establish which phone lasts longer in the same use. TechRadar describes its POCO review experience separately, while iQOO’s launch announcement reports company-run tests rather than an independent comparison.
Both list 100W wired charging, and the POCO also lists 50W wireless charging. iQOO Indonesia said an hour of simultaneous online meeting, screen sharing and video calling used 5% battery at 33°C, and that five hours of MOBA play at maximum graphics up to 144 FPS reached a maximum temperature of 43°C. Those are iQOO’s internal test claims, not directly comparable with the POCO review observations or a standardized head-to-head test.

Which phone is better for photos?
The POCO’s three rear cameras cover more shooting roles on paper: its reviewed configuration includes a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide and a 50MP 5x telephoto. The iQOO lists a 50MP stabilized Sony LYT-700V main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide, with no telephoto listed in the cited launch specifications. That gives the POCO a dedicated long-range option; megapixel counts by themselves do not determine image quality.
The available evidence does not establish a controlled camera comparison between the two phones. Choose based on whether a telephoto lens matters to your photography, and consult current sample images or reviews for your region’s exact models before treating specification differences as proof of better results.

There is no supported single worldwide price gap because the available figures refer to different markets and are not like-for-like.

For an actual price difference, check the same day in the same country and compare the same storage configuration, seller, taxes and promotion status. Subtract the lower current price from the higher one only after those details match. The Indonesia iQOO launch price should not be directly subtracted from a UK, US or European POCO figure.

Which one should you choose?
- Consider the iQOO 15R if you prefer its smaller listed display, want a 144Hz panel, or are shopping in Indonesia and find its local price compelling. Confirm the exact regional variant and current seller price.
- Consider the POCO F9 Ultra if you want a larger display, a dedicated 5x telephoto camera, listed wireless charging, or the higher stated battery capacity. Confirm local availability and the precise price because the cited UK figures conflict.
- Do not choose on chipset names or battery capacity alone. The cited material does not provide an independent head-to-head performance benchmark or standardized battery test for these models.
