The iQOO 15 has the higher listed display resolution and refresh-rate ceiling; the POCO X8 Pro Max has the larger listed battery and supports 100 W charging. There is no reliable single price gap to quote from the available launch figures: they come from different markets and storage configurations. Your better choice depends on which features matter most and what each phone costs locally in the same configuration.

These are not necessarily identical regional variants. The iQOO figures are from its India product page, while the POCO specifications are from its Global page. Check the specification and packaging for the country where you plan to buy.
Which phone has the better display?
On the published specifications, the iQOO 15 has the sharper display and higher maximum refresh-rate figure. Its India page lists 3168 × 1440 resolution and refresh rates up to 144 Hz. POCO’s Global page lists a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display at 120 Hz. The sizes are close, so resolution and refresh ceiling—not screen size—are the clearest paper differences.
A 144 Hz maximum does not mean every app or video runs at that rate. Refresh behavior depends on the content, software, and settings. The listed figures also do not establish which screen looks better in brightness, color accuracy, or outdoor use.

Which has the bigger battery, and what does that mean?
POCO lists an 8,500 mAh typical battery for the X8 Pro Max, compared with iQOO’s listed 7,000 mAh battery. That makes the POCO the higher-capacity option on these manufacturer pages, but capacity alone cannot establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use. Screen settings, software, network conditions, and workload all affect runtime, and the specifications are from different regional pages.
POCO also says the X8 Pro Max retains at least 80% battery capacity after 1,600 charge cycles—approximately six years under its theoretical regular-use model. The company describes this as based on theoretical calculations and test data, and says actual results may vary; it is not a guarantee for every owner. POCO’s official product page gives the claim and its qualification.

How do their charging specifications compare?
POCO’s Global product page lists 100 W HyperCharge and 100 W PPS support. The cited iQOO India page does not establish a matching charging figure for this comparison. Before deciding based on charging, check the exact regional model, supported charging conditions, and whether the relevant adapter is included in the box; the available figures do not support a like-for-like charging-time comparison.

What do the camera specifications tell you?
iQOO highlights a 50 MP 3× periscope camera. TechRadar’s POCO review lists a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide, and a 20 MP front camera. These details describe different parts of the camera systems and do not prove which phone takes better photos. There is no controlled camera head-to-head established here, so consider sample photos and reviews from your intended region rather than choosing by megapixel count alone.

What is the price difference?
The cited launch prices cannot be subtracted to produce a meaningful direct price difference: they cover different countries and storage configurations, and they are not current local offers.

Which one should you choose?
Choose the iQOO 15 if display specifications are your priority
Its India-listed screen has the higher resolution and refresh-rate ceiling. It also has the featured 3× periscope camera, which may matter if that focal length suits your photography. Confirm that the exact model sold in your market matches the India specifications.
Choose the POCO X8 Pro Max if listed battery capacity and charging support matter most
POCO’s Global page lists the larger typical battery and 100 W HyperCharge with PPS support. Treat those as specification advantages, not proof of longer battery life or faster real-world charging for every regional package.
Let local value decide when the priorities are otherwise close
Compare current prices for matched storage tiers in your country. The published launch prices here use different currencies, markets, and configurations, so neither establishes which phone is cheaper for you.
