The iQOO 15 is the stronger phone on paper: a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a sharper 144 Hz OLED, a three-camera system with 3× optical zoom, 100 W wired charging and 256 GB of base storage. The Moto g max 5G costs far less in India, and a PCMark battery test reported by 91mobiles gave it the longer runtime. The price gap in the snapshot we could verify was about ₹47,301, and it moves with variant, colour and retailer, so treat every rupee figure below as dated.

iQOO 15 and Moto g max 5G specifications at a glance

The table below uses the figures 91mobiles lists for both phones, with iQOO’s own India product pages used to confirm the iQOO 15 hardware.

Why the price changes between sources

A search-result view of the same 91mobiles comparison showed the Moto at ₹27,999, so the Moto price shifted between captures. Gadgets 360 listed iQOO 15 variants on 7 October 2026 at ₹76,749, ₹77,777, ₹83,999, ₹85,999, ₹88,990 and ₹93,999. Those figures reflect different configurations, colours and retailers rather than one price. The source does not map each figure to a specific variant, so do not treat the lowest one as the price of a particular configuration.

How to quote or check a price

  • Record the retailer, the exact RAM and storage configuration, the colour, and the date you checked.
  • Compare the same RAM and storage on both phones. The iQOO 15 base in the comparison is 12 GB + 256 GB, while the Moto’s listed 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage are a lower tier.
  • Check the final checkout price, including bank offers and delivery charges, rather than the listed price.

Processor and performance

The iQOO 15 runs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which iQOO’s official India page confirms. The Moto g max 5G uses the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 with 6 GB of RAM, according to 91mobiles. On the same page, the AnTuTu score for the Moto was 807,683. The page’s figure for the iQOO 15 was 3,842,735, but iQOO’s own India page states a different AnTuTu figure of 4,186,917 without giving a year. Those numbers come from different test versions and conditions, so they should not be compared with each other or treated as proof of real-world speed.

For everyday use, the difference is most noticeable in heavy games, long multitasking sessions and apps that rely on the top-tier GPU. For messaging, browsing and photography, both phones should feel responsive, but the iQOO has more headroom.

Display

The iQOO 15 has a 6.85-inch AMOLED panel at 3168 × 1440 with a refresh rate up to 144 Hz. The Moto g max 5G has a 6.72-inch LCD at 1080 × 2400 and 120 Hz. OLED usually gives deeper blacks and higher contrast, and the higher resolution is sharper at normal viewing distance. The Moto’s LCD is a reasonable choice for buyers who want a larger screen at a lower cost, but it is not as sharp.

Cameras and zoom

The iQOO 15 has three 50 MP rear cameras: a main, an ultra-wide and a 3× periscope telephoto with optical zoom. The Moto g max 5G has a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide, with no telephoto listed. Both have a 32 MP front camera.

The iQOO gives more flexibility for framing and zoom. Image quality is a separate question, since sensor size, processing and lighting all matter, and the listed megapixel counts do not settle it. Neither source offers a controlled side-by-side photo test, so this comparison covers hardware, not photo quality.

Battery life and charging

Both phones list a 7000 mAh battery. The two sources do not show the same endurance result, though.

Battery test result

In the PCMark battery test reported on the 91mobiles page, the Moto g max 5G ran for 18 hours 15 minutes and the iQOO 15 for 13 hours 7 minutes. That is one lab-style test under one set of conditions, not a guaranteed runtime. Real-world battery life depends on screen brightness, refresh rate, network signal, games and how much background activity an app causes. The iQOO’s higher-refresh display and faster processor may use more power under load, but this source does not measure that directly.

Charging speed

The iQOO 15 supports 100 W wired charging. iQOO’s official specifications state: “With the official charger and USB cable, the product supports up to 100W FlashCharge.” iQOO also says charging power adjusts dynamically with usage conditions, so a full charge will not always reach that peak. The Moto g max 5G is listed at 30 W wired, with no wireless charging listed. The iQOO has wireless charging, but its official India page says up to 40 W wireless requires the official dock, which is sold separately.

Storage

The comparison base for the iQOO 15 is 256 GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The Moto g max 5G is listed with 128 GB of UFS 3.1. iQOO’s official parameter page lists three editions: 12 GB + 256 GB, 16 GB + 512 GB and 16 GB + 1 TB. Confirm that the configuration you want is offered in your country before you rely on it, because a regional listing may not carry every edition.

Software support and warranty

We could not verify software-update promises or warranty coverage for the Moto g max 5G in India or any other region. No official Motorola product page appeared in our checks, and the 91mobiles page is the only source we opened for the Moto’s specifications. Ask the seller for the warranty terms and the update commitment in writing, and check Motorola’s official India site before buying. Do the same for the iQOO 15 in your region, since availability and warranty terms can differ by seller.

Reviews

The 91mobiles page shows an expert score of 8/10 for both phones. Its user ratings were 4.7/5 for the iQOO 15 from 885 ratings and 4.4/5 for the Moto g max 5G from 17 ratings. The rating counts are very unequal, so the user scores should not be read as a head-to-head verdict.

Which phone fits which priorities

Neither phone is better in every category. The choice depends on what you value most.

  • Choose the iQOO 15 if you want the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the sharper and faster OLED display, 3× periscope zoom, 100 W wired charging, wireless charging or the larger storage options, and you can accept a price of roughly ₹77,000 or more in the snapshots above.
  • Choose the Moto g max 5G if your priority is a much lower price and the longer battery result reported by 91mobiles, and you can accept a lower-resolution LCD, 30 W charging, 128 GB of storage, 6 GB of RAM and a simpler rear camera setup.

Before you buy

  • Check the current price for the exact configuration you want, on the retailer’s listing, on the day you buy.
  • Confirm the phone supports the mobile network bands you use in your area.
  • Check stock and warranty terms with the seller.
  • Do not rely on an aggregator listing as proof of official availability.

Both phones were compared using published specifications and third-party data, not hands-on testing.

Price and availability: rupee figures are India snapshots from 91mobiles and Gadgets 360 as of 7 October 2026 and may have changed.
