On the published specifications, the iQOO 13 is the performance- and display-focused option; the India-market OPPO Reno16 5G stands out for its 3.5x telephoto camera and larger listed battery. The price figures available are not a current, like-for-like comparison: OPPO’s are dated 31 August 2026, while iQOO’s are 2024 launch prices. This comparison is specifically for India and the OPPO Reno16 5G model CPH2865—not the Reno16c, Reno16 Pro or another regional variant.
iQOO 13 vs OPPO Reno16: specification comparison
The table uses manufacturer-listed India specifications. They describe hardware and advertised features, not independent benchmark, camera, battery-life or charging tests.
| Category | iQOO 13 (India) | OPPO Reno16 5G (India, CPH2865) | What the specifications indicate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chipset | Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform | Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Mobile Platform | iQOO lists the higher-tier chipset; the specifications do not establish a measured speed difference. |
| Display | 6.82-inch, 3168 × 1440 LTPO AMOLED, 1–144Hz | 16.05cm, 2640 × 1216 AMOLED, 120Hz | iQOO lists higher resolution and maximum refresh rate. Perceived clarity and smoothness also depend on content and settings. |
| Rear cameras | 50MP main, 50MP telephoto, 50MP ultra-wide | 50MP main, 50MP ultra-wide, 50MP 3.5x telephoto | Both list three 50MP rear cameras; OPPO specifies 3.5x optical telephoto. Megapixel counts alone do not establish image quality. |
| Battery | 6000mAh equivalent typical capacity; rated equivalent capacity 5870mAh | 6700mAh listed battery | OPPO lists greater nominal capacity, but capacity alone does not prove longer real-world battery life. |
| Charging | 120W FlashCharge | 80W SUPERVOOC; compatibility with selected other charging standards is also listed | iQOO advertises the higher wattage. Charging time varies with charger and conditions; no directly applicable full-charge test is established here. |
| Durability | IP68 and IP69 ratings; iQOO cautions that it is not a professional waterproof phone | IP69K listed | These are manufacturer-listed ratings, not a promise that either phone is damage-proof. |
| Software listed | Funtouch OS 15, Android 15 | ColorOS 16.0 | Check the exact regional SKU for its current software version and update-support policy before using software longevity as a deciding factor. |
| India configurations cited | 12GB + 256GB; 16GB + 512GB | 8GB + 256GB; 12GB + 256GB | There is no exact RAM-and-storage match among these listed configurations. |
What is the India price difference?
OPPO India lists the Reno16 5G at ₹66,999 for 8GB + 256GB and ₹72,999 for 12GB + 256GB, with those prices stated as correct on 31 August 2026. The page also gives list prices of ₹89,999 and ₹99,999 respectively; live offers and transaction prices may change. See OPPO India’s Reno16 details.
iQOO India Community announced launch prices of ₹54,999 for 12GB + 256GB and ₹59,999 for 16GB + 512GB in 2024. These are historical launch prices, not verified current prices. The post’s ₹3,000 bank discount was a launch offer, not an established active deal. See iQOO India Community’s launch post.
| Price arithmetic | Difference | Why it is not a like-for-like current quote |
|---|---|---|
| Reno16 8GB + 256GB at ₹66,999 versus iQOO 13 12GB + 256GB at ₹54,999 | ₹12,000 | RAM differs, and OPPO’s dated price is being compared with iQOO’s 2024 launch price. |
| Reno16 12GB + 256GB at ₹72,999 versus iQOO 13 16GB + 512GB at ₹59,999 | ₹13,000 | RAM and storage differ, and the cited prices are from different dates. |
These calculations are historical listed-price gaps only. Check current prices for the same date and the exact variants before deciding what either phone costs now. OPPO says pricing, specifications and timing vary by market in its 25 June 2026 global Reno16 series announcement. OPPO’s India store page identifies the listed product, but a displayed list price should not be mistaken for a promotional transaction price: OPPO India store.
Which phone has better specifications for your priorities?
Choose based on chipset and display
If gaming or demanding apps are a priority, the iQOO 13’s Snapdragon 8 Elite and 2K-resolution LTPO display with up to 144Hz make it the stronger choice on the published hardware specifications. That is a specification-based assessment, not a claim about tested frame rates or a measured performance margin.

Consider the telephoto camera
The Reno16’s listed 50MP 3.5x optical telephoto is its clearest camera distinction in this comparison. The iQOO also lists a 50MP telephoto, but the cited specification does not give it the same 3.5x description. If zoom photography matters, compare real image samples from the exact phones rather than choosing by megapixels alone.

One additional iQOO configuration detail: its India specifications page says the 12GB + 256GB edition currently features UFS 4.0 and will receive an OTA upgrade to UFS 4.1. What to check before buying
- Confirm the country and full model name, especially that the OPPO phone is Reno16 5G CPH2865.
- Compare same-day prices for the precise RAM and storage variants; the dated figures above do not establish today’s price gap.
- For gaming, weigh the chipset and display specifications, but look for independent tests if measured performance is decisive.
- For photography, inspect sample images—particularly telephoto results—rather than treating resolution or megapixels as a quality score.
- For battery priorities, distinguish listed capacity from tested battery life and advertised charging wattage from a measured charging time.
- Review water-resistance terms as ratings with manufacturer caveats, not guarantees against damage.
- Verify current software and update support for the exact regional SKU if long-term support matters.
