Verdict: The iQOO 13 5G remains a compelling choice for performance, display quality and battery life—if its current local price suits your budget. Its main compromises are limited 2x telephoto reach, weaker secondary-camera results in some low-light testing, a busy software setup and no eSIM, according to GSMArena. This review uses India-market specifications; availability and specifications can vary by region and device batch.
What the iQOO 13 does best
Performance that holds up under demanding use
India’s iQOO 13 pairs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite with either 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage or 16GB and 512GB. In a two-week daily-driver review, 91mobiles reported smooth general use and gaming. GSMArena also praised sustained performance under high loads. These are reviewer findings, not a guarantee that every game, room temperature or workload will produce the same result.
There is a useful qualification to the performance story: in 91mobiles’ extreme synthetic Burnout test, the iQOO 13 and the Realme GT 7 Pro both dropped below half of their peak performance. That is a stress-test result, not a prediction that ordinary gaming will run at half speed. The two reviews’ assessments are available from 91mobiles and GSMArena.
A sharp, high-refresh display
The India model has a 6.82-inch display with 3168 × 1440 resolution and a 144Hz-class refresh rate, making it well suited to fast scrolling and compatible games. GSMArena notes that the Realme GT 7 Pro’s display is brighter, so buyers choosing between the two should consider outdoor readability as well as resolution and refresh rate. The review evidence does not establish a universal winner across every brightness setting or viewing condition.

Long battery life and quick charging
iQOO’s India page specifies a 6000mAh typical-equivalent battery and 120W wired charging. In 91mobiles’ tests, the phone ran for about 13 hours in PCMark and took 38 minutes to charge from 20% to 100%. Those are that publication’s test results, not expected times for every owner. iQOO says its own lab charging data uses the official charger and cable under controlled conditions, and that charging results vary with environment and battery wear. How good are the cameras?
Useful hardware, with less long-zoom reach
The India configuration lists a 50MP Sony IMX921 main camera, 50MP ultrawide, 50MP Sony IMX816 2x telephoto and 32MP front camera. Reviewers found the cameras capable in daylight, but a 2x telephoto is intended for modest zoom and portraits—not distant subjects at the reach of a periscope telephoto. The trade-off is particularly relevant if you often photograph performers, sports or wildlife from far away.

Night results depend on the camera and scene
GSMArena criticized low-light results from the ultrawide and zoom cameras. 91mobiles reported more favorable comparative night-mode observations in the scenes it tested. These findings are not necessarily contradictory: low-light performance can vary by camera, scene, exposure and review sample. The evidence supports a cautious conclusion rather than a blanket claim that every night shot will be weak or strong.
Software, connectivity and durability
Updates and preinstalled apps
The India product page lists Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. At review time, 91mobiles described 56 preinstalled apps, nine of them third-party, and reported a commitment of four Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates; GSMArena also lists those update terms. App counts and update status can change with region and software build, so check the installed version and local support terms before buying.

SIM and wireless features
India-market specifications list dual Nano-SIM, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. GSMArena notes that the phone has no eSIM, which may matter if you rely on travel eSIMs or a carrier that provisions service digitally. Confirm that the regional version supports the bands and SIM arrangement you need.
Water resistance and build
The India model carries IP68/IP69 ratings. iQOO explicitly says it is not a professional waterproof phone and describes the resistance as intended for normal use; the rating is not a promise that the handset can be submerged or will remain undamaged. Listed weight and thickness also vary by finish: Alpha is 207g and 7.99mm, while Legend and Nardo Grey are 213g and 8.13mm, according to iQOO’s India page.

India configurations and price context
The official India page lists 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB configurations. It says the 16GB/512GB version features UFS 4.1 storage; the 12GB/256GB version currently features UFS 4.0 and is to receive an OTA upgrade to UFS 4.1. iQOO warns that specifications can change across batches, so confirm the storage specification for the exact unit you are considering.

Should you buy the iQOO 13 5G?
Consider it if you prioritize fast performance, a high-resolution display, strong battery life and quick wired charging. It is less suitable if your must-haves are long optical zoom, eSIM or a leaner-feeling software setup. The phone’s value depends on the actual price and stock in your country, not an old launch price or an unavailable listing.
When comparing it with the Realme GT 7 Pro, weigh current local prices alongside display brightness, sustained performance, battery and charging, camera results in the conditions you shoot, software preference, update support and network features. Reviewers reached different camera conclusions across their tested scenes, so neither review establishes a universal camera ranking. Availability and service support also depend on your market.
