The vivo V80 5G stands out on published specifications for its 144Hz 1.5K OLED display, 7,200mAh advertised battery and dedicated 3x optical-zoom telephoto camera. The iPhone 17 pairs a smaller 6.3-inch display with Apple’s A19 chip, iOS and a dual 48MP rear-camera system. In India, vivo announced V80 prices from ₹62,999, while a secondary listing showed the iPhone 17 at ₹79,999; those figures are not a verified, same-date price comparison.

Which display is better for your use?
The V80 has the larger, higher-refresh display on the specifications published by vivo: a 1.5K OLED panel rated at 144Hz. Apple lists the iPhone 17 at 6.3 inches, with 2622 × 1206 resolution, 460 pixels per inch and adaptive refresh up to 120Hz. The higher refresh-rate figure does not by itself establish overall display quality; size, resolution, brightness and how you use the phone all matter.
Camera differences: dedicated zoom versus dual 48MP cameras
The V80’s listed rear camera setup includes a dedicated 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, alongside a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization and an ultra-wide camera. The iPhone 17 has 48MP main and ultra-wide cameras, with an optical-quality 2x option through its main sensor. That makes the V80’s dedicated telephoto hardware the more explicit choice for users who want optical reach beyond the main camera.
Megapixel counts do not establish which phone takes better photos. The specifications do not provide a controlled image-quality comparison, so camera quality in different lighting and video performance cannot be ranked from these figures alone.

Battery figures are not directly comparable
vivo advertises a 7,200mAh battery for the V80. Apple states up to 30 hours of video playback for the iPhone 17 and says fast charging depends on the adapter or MagSafe setup. Capacity and playback time measure different things: they do not establish which phone lasts longer in the same real-world use. No comparative battery test is available here.

| Apple iPhone 17 | ₹79,999 | 91mobiles’ secondary listing observed October 7, 2026. Apple India’s price and current iPhone stock were not verified. |
91mobiles showed the V80 at ₹62,999 and marked it out of stock when its comparison page was observed on October 7, 2026. That secondary listing predates vivo’s announced October 13 sales start. The two displayed prices therefore should not be treated as a confirmed current price gap: the iPhone figure is a secondary listing, and the V80 launch announcement lists three storage configurations. Check a retailer’s current price, storage option, offers and stock before buying.
