The iPhone 17 Pro delivery estimates often quoted as evidence of “high demand” were snapshots from September 16, 2025—not current shipping times. At that point, TechRadar reported waits of one to three weeks for the Pro and three to four weeks for the Pro Max in the US; estimates in the UK and Australia overlapped. Apple has since introduced the iPhone 18 Pro and no longer lists the 17 Pro models on its current buying page. Any remaining stock or delivery estimate now depends on individual retailers and carriers.
What were the iPhone 17 Pro delivery estimates at launch?
On September 16, 2025, TechRadar reported the following estimated delivery windows for orders placed at that time. They were secondary-source estimates, could vary by color and configuration, and were not guaranteed wait times.

In that snapshot, the Pro Max estimate was longer in the US. The UK and Australian ranges overlapped, so the figures do not show that the larger model was consistently harder to obtain in every market. Nor do delivery windows alone establish a specific sales or demand figure. TechRadar’s September 16, 2025 report is the source for these historical estimates.
When did the iPhone 17 Pro go on sale?
Apple announced iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max on September 9, 2025. Preorders opened September 12, and availability in the initial launch markets began September 19. Apple said the phones would reach 22 additional countries and regions on September 26. These are Apple’s announced release dates, not delivery estimates for later orders. Can you still buy an iPhone 17 Pro?
As of October 8, 2026, Apple has announced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, and its current iPhone buying page does not list the 17 Pro models. MacRumors reported that Apple discontinued the iPhone 17 Pro models after the newer generation was announced. The absence from Apple’s current lineup shows they are no longer presented as current Apple Store purchase options; it does not establish whether any third-party seller has remaining units. No current retailer or carrier inventory or delivery window was verified. If you find a listing, check the seller, the phone’s condition, the exact model and storage configuration, and the delivery estimate shown for your location before ordering.

What should you compare between the Pro and Pro Max?
Apple’s launch specifications distinguish the models by display size and available storage. The right choice depends on how large a phone you want, how much storage you need, and which model you can actually find from a seller you trust.
