The iPhone 15 and TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G differ most clearly in screen size, listed refresh rate, platform, and battery specifications. A current price difference cannot be stated responsibly without a country, date, seller, storage capacity, and device condition: the manufacturers’ specification pages do not list current retail prices.

How the displays differ
iPhone 15: smaller OLED screen
Apple lists a 6.1-inch OLED panel with 2556 × 1179 resolution and 460 ppi. Its cited specification page does not provide a refresh-rate figure, so a like-for-like refresh-rate comparison cannot be made from these sources.
POVA 8 Pro 5G: larger, listed 144Hz AMOLED
TECNO lists a 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED screen, 2644 × 1208 resolution, and 144Hz refresh rate. It is larger on paper, but screen size and refresh rate alone do not determine how bright or smooth either phone looks in every situation.

Processor, software, and storage
Apple lists the A16 Bionic for the iPhone 15. TECNO specifies a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G processor and Arm Mali-G615 MC2 graphics for the POVA 8 Pro 5G, with HiOS 16 based on Android 16. No benchmark or controlled performance test is available here, so these names do not support a measured speed ranking.
Apple lists 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB iPhone 15 capacities. TECNO lists the POVA with 256GB storage paired with 16GB or 24GB RAM (including extended RAM), or 512GB storage with 24GB RAM (including extended RAM). The closest capacity matches for a price comparison would therefore be 256GB or 512GB, if those exact versions are sold in the market being compared.
Rank #2
- This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).
- Please check with your carrier to verify compatibility.
- The device does not come with headphones or a SIM card. It does include a generic (Mfi certified) charging cable.
- Tested for battery health and guaranteed to have a minimum battery capacity of 80%.
Camera specifications are not a photo-quality verdict
The iPhone 15 has a listed 48MP main and 12MP ultra-wide rear system. Apple also describes a 2x telephoto option enabled by the quad-pixel sensor, a 2x optical zoom in/out capability, and a 4x optical zoom range. TECNO lists a 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide rear camera.
Megapixel counts and the presence of optical image stabilization do not show which phone takes better photos. That judgment would require comparable image tests across conditions; the manufacturer specifications alone do not establish it.

Battery and charging figures
TECNO lists a 6500mAh battery and 45W charging for the POVA 8 Pro 5G. Apple’s cited iPhone 15 specifications page does not give an mAh battery capacity or a charging wattage. Without a comparable capacity figure or battery-life test, these sources cannot quantify an endurance advantage.
Size, weight, and durability
Apple lists the iPhone 15 at 171g and 147.6 × 71.6 × 7.80mm. TECNO lists the POVA 8 Pro 5G at 189g and 162.48 × 77.27 × 7.39mm. The TECNO phone is larger and heavier by the listed measurements, while it is slightly thinner; those dimensions may matter when choosing a phone that fits a hand or pocket.

Apple specifies an IP68 rating under IEC 60529, with a maximum depth of 6m for up to 30 minutes. TECNO’s cited POVA specifications page does not state a water- or dust-resistance rating. Do not infer that the devices have equivalent protection—or that the POVA lacks protection—from the information listed here.

No defensible current price difference is established by the official specification pages: neither page provides a current retail price. A useful comparison needs prices from the same country and date, with seller and device condition identified. Storage should also match as closely as possible; 256GB or 512GB are the capacities listed for both models, although local availability of the exact variants still needs checking.

Because prices and stock vary by market, a launch price, an unverified listing, or a currency conversion would not answer what these phones cost now in a specific location. Confirm local offers for the chosen capacity and condition before calculating a difference.
Quick Recap
Which specification set may suit you?
- Consider the iPhone 15 if its 6.1-inch OLED size, listed 171g weight, available 128GB option, or stated IP68 rating fit your priorities.
- Consider the POVA 8 Pro 5G if you want the larger listed 6.78-inch 144Hz display, a 6500mAh battery specification with 45W charging, or the listed Android-based platform.
- Compare local prices before deciding if value is the deciding factor; the available official specifications do not establish which model costs less in your market.
