The iPhone 15 Pro is a compact, conventional iOS phone with a dedicated 3x telephoto camera; the Motorola Razr 50 is a foldable Android phone with a large inner screen and a cover display. Which is better depends chiefly on whether you want a folding design and Android or prefer iOS, a separate telephoto lens, and a standard phone form.
iPhone 15 Pro vs Razr 50 at a glance
These phones differ more in shape and software than their listed weights suggest. Apple lists the iPhone 15 Pro at 187g; Motorola lists the Razr 50 at approximately 188g. The Razr folds around its 6.9-inch main display and has a 3.63-inch outer display, while the iPhone has one 6.1-inch screen.

Choose the iPhone for a conventional compact phone
The iPhone 15 Pro offers a single 6.1-inch screen in a standard smartphone design. It suits someone who wants to use a phone without unfolding it and prefers iOS. Its listed weight is nearly the same as the Razr 50’s, so the practical distinction is the folding form and screen arrangement, not a meaningful difference in listed mass.

- Up to 29 hours video playback. USB-C, Supports USB 3 for up to 20x faster transfers. Face ID
Choose the Razr for a foldable with an outer screen
The Razr 50 opens to a larger 6.9-inch main screen and provides a 3.63-inch outer screen when folded. Its main screen supports up to 120Hz refresh, while the outer display supports up to 90Hz. That arrangement may appeal if you want a large screen when the phone is open and a separate display on the outside; the specifications alone do not establish how well it will suit a particular routine.
How do their cameras compare?
The iPhone 15 Pro has three listed rear cameras, including a 12MP 3x telephoto lens. The Razr 50 has a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide camera. If a dedicated telephoto camera is important, the iPhone has one in its listed hardware; the Razr’s specifications do not list a telephoto lens.

Megapixel counts and component lists do not establish which phone takes better photos or video. No comparative camera test is available here, so image quality should not be inferred from these numbers alone.

What do the water-resistance ratings mean?
Apple lists IP68 for the iPhone 15 Pro and states that it was tested to a maximum depth of 6m for up to 30 minutes under controlled conditions. Motorola lists the Razr 50 as IPX8. The ratings are not interchangeable: the “X” in IPX8 means this rating does not specify a dust-protection level. Neither label should be treated as a promise of protection in every real-world situation.

What is the price difference?
The available figures come from different countries, dates, and price bases, so they do not establish a valid direct price difference.
| Phone and market | Published price context | What the figure represents |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone 15 Pro, United States | $999 starting price | Apple’s announced US launch starting price in 2023—not a current retail quote |
| Razr 50, India | ₹44,999 for 8GB/256GB; MRP ₹74,999 | Price displayed on Motorola India’s storefront when accessed in 2026; market- and time-specific |
Apple announced the iPhone 15 Pro’s US starting price on September 12, 2023, with availability beginning September 22, 2023, in its launch announcement. Motorola India’s Razr storefront displayed the India price when accessed on October 7, 2026. Because the figures differ in currency, market, date, and price basis, subtracting them or declaring one phone cheaper would be misleading. For a useful local comparison, check current new-device prices for comparable storage in your country.

Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the iPhone 15 Pro if you want iOS, a standard phone design, or a listed 3x telephoto camera.
- Choose the Motorola Razr 50 if a foldable design, a larger opened screen, and an outer display are the features you value most, and Android suits you.
- Compare the exact local offers if price is decisive. Check storage, condition, seller, and country rather than relying on the launch and storefront figures above.
The listed hardware cannot settle subjective preferences, long-term durability, real-world battery life, camera quality, or performance benchmarks. Those points are not established by the manufacturers’ specifications cited here.
