What did Invicti announce?
Invicti said it had signed a definitive agreement for a $625 million investment led by Summit Partners. William Blair also described the investment as pending and reported the same expected closing window. The company’s release was dated October 20, 2021, although the Invicti webpage displays October 19. The release date is October 20, consistent with the text reproduced by PR Newswire. The primary announcement URL was not published.
At the time, the parties expected the transaction to close in the fourth quarter of 2021, subject to standard closing conditions. That was a forecast, not confirmation of completion. The announcement did not disclose the transaction’s detailed terms.

What does Invicti make?
Invicti is a business-to-business application-security testing company, not a consumer product launch. Its 2021 announcement named Acunetix and Netsparker as product lines that scan web applications for vulnerabilities and support remediation through developer-workflow integrations. Summit Partners currently describes Invicti as offering dynamic and interactive application-security testing products. The 2021 financing announcement does not establish current product packaging, pricing, or availability.
What operating figures did Invicti report?
The company’s October 2021 announcement included the following historical figures. They are Invicti-reported, not independently audited measures:
- Invicti said it had added 700 customers in the preceding 12 months and had more than 3,100 customers worldwide.
- It reported that more than 800,000 websites had been scanned to date.
- It forecast more than 60% annual recurring revenue growth for 2021. This was a projection in the announcement, not a verified final result.
The release also cited 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Application Security Testing recognition, G2 Momentum Leader recognition for Acunetix and Netsparker, and a 2021 Globee Award. Those are claims made by Invicti in the announcement.

The announcement establishes the amount, lead investor, stated purpose, and the parties’ expected Q4 2021 closing window as reported in October 2021. It does not establish the final closing date, final transaction structure, or detailed terms. Readers should therefore treat the $625 million figure as the announced investment amount and avoid treating the expected closing as confirmed completion.
