A project called Internet Court has been announced as an open skill intended to connect steps in agent-to-agent commerce, allowing two agents to run a deal from start to finish. That is the project’s stated ambition, not independently verified performance. The available evidence does not show whether people are using it or whether anyone wants an internet court.
What is Internet Court?
In a public announcement attributed to the Internet Court project, it is described as an “open skill” that connects the agentic-commerce stack into one flow. The stated goal is for two AI agents to run a deal end to end. The announcement points readers to internetcourt.org.
That description establishes what the project says it is trying to do. It does not establish which protocols or services the skill connects, how to deploy it, or whether the software currently completes such a transaction. The announcement is promotional, and no independent test or technical documentation is established by the available evidence.
Can AI agents resolve disputes with each other?
Automating a deal and resolving a dispute are different tasks. A transaction flow might help agents exchange offers or carry out agreed steps; a dispute process would also need rules for deciding what happened and what remedy follows. The announcement does not establish that Internet Court has handled disputes, who or what would decide them, or whether either party could appeal.

Nor does the name make the project a court of law. Its legal status, jurisdiction, and the enforceability of any decision are not established. Anyone evaluating a proposed dispute process should ask:
- Where would a dispute be heard, and under what jurisdiction?
- Would funds be held in escrow, and who controls their release?
- Who or what decides the outcome, and what evidence is considered?
- Can a party request review or appeal?
- What are the cost and expected time to resolution?
These are evaluation questions, not features confirmed for Internet Court.

Does anyone actually want an internet court?
The public evidence described here cannot answer that. It contains no independent adoption figures, user interviews, transaction counts, or examples of disputes handled. A project announcement signals an intention to build; it does not demonstrate user demand.

Useful evidence would include direct interviews, usage and transaction data, and documented dispute outcomes. None is established here.

What would show that the idea works?
For a reader deciding whether to take the project seriously, the important distinction is between a connected workflow and a trustworthy resolution system. Evidence of the first would show that the software can complete a deal under specified conditions. Evidence of the second would show how contested transactions are reviewed, what outcomes result, and whether participants accept those outcomes.
Until such evidence is available, Internet Court is best described as a project announced with an ambition to connect agent-commerce steps—not as a proven service, an adopted venue, or a functioning legal court.
