Intel postponed its September 2024 Intel Innovation event until 2025, but said the decision did not change Arrow Lake’s launch plans, timing, or readiness. Intel’s later Q3 filing records that the Core Ultra 200S desktop processors, code-named Arrow Lake, launched in October 2024. The event postponement and processor launch were separate developments.
What Intel postponed—and what it did not
Intel Innovation 2024 had been scheduled for September 24–25 in San Jose, California. On August 9, 2024, HotHardware reported that Intel had postponed the event until 2025; no replacement date was specified in that report.
Intel’s event announcement, quoted by HotHardware, said: “After careful consideration, we have made the decision to postpone our Intel-hosted event, Intel Innovation in September, until 2025.” The report does not give an official reason for the postponement, so it would be speculation to attribute it to Arrow Lake, the processor instability issue, or any other cause.

In a separate statement to HotHardware on August 9, Intel said: “There are no changes to Intel’s launch plans, timing, or product readiness.” Intel also said it would share more about its next-generation desktop processors, code-named Arrow Lake, later in 2024.

What happened to Arrow Lake’s launch?

Intel’s other 2024 processor events
Intel had another processor event on its calendar: a September 3, 2024 Berlin keynote ahead of IFA, announced on July 30. It was for the Lunar Lake Core Ultra processors, not Intel Innovation and not the Arrow Lake desktop launch. Intel’s July 30 media alert
Intel also said it would continue with smaller, more targeted events, webinars, hackathons, meetups, and appearances at other industry events during the remainder of 2024. HotHardware reported that commitment alongside the postponement; it did not establish whether those activities were intended to replace Intel Innovation’s role.

What Intel said about the processor instability issue
Intel’s August 30, 2024 update said Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake were unaffected by the Vmin Shift instability issue affecting some 13th- and 14th-generation Core desktop processors. That is Intel’s stated position at the time, not independent validation. Intel’s August 30 instability update
