A 2025 leak report described proposed Panther Lake CPU and Xe3 graphics configurations, but it was not an Intel-confirmed specification sheet. Intel now lists the processors under the Core Ultra Series 3 name: its X9 and X7 models have 16 CPU cores and Arc B390 graphics, while the Core Ultra 5 338H has 12 CPU cores and Arc B370 graphics. Those current catalog entries clarify what Intel lists; they do not validate every detail in the earlier leak or establish laptop performance.
What did the Panther Lake leak report say?
PC Gamer’s Jeremy Laird reported on October 7, 2025, that a leak appeared to show a Core Ultra X300 tier with high-end Xe3 integrated graphics. The reported configurations were proposed specifications, not an official Intel table. The original leak material was not independently authenticated in the reporting reviewed here. PC Gamer’s October 7, 2025 report is the source for the claims below.
| Proposed part or group in the report | Reported CPU cores | Reported Xe3 graphics cores |
|---|---|---|
| Top proposed Core Ultra X models | 4 Performance + 8 Efficient + 4 low-power Efficient (4P+8E+4LPE) | 12 |
| Proposed Core Ultra 5 X338H | 4 Performance + 4 Efficient + 4 low-power Efficient (4P+4E+4LPE) | 10 |
| Mainstream H models | Not specified in the reported table | 4 |
| U models | 4 Performance + 4 low-power Efficient (4P+4LPE) | 4 |
The table records what the leak report said, not a confirmed specification for retail processors. In particular, the reported “X338H” should not be silently treated as the same configuration as Intel’s currently listed Core Ultra 5 338H.

Intel’s current Core Ultra Series 3 product page and ARK catalog list the following model-level specifications. Intel’s page gives Q1 2026 as the listing date for these products. Maximum turbo frequencies are ceilings in the catalog, not guarantees of sustained clock speed in every laptop. Intel Core Ultra Series 3 product catalog · Intel ARK catalog

| Processor | Listed CPU cores | Maximum turbo frequency | Cache | Integrated graphics listed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Core Ultra X9 388H | 16 | Up to 5.1 GHz | 18 MB | Arc B390 |
| Core Ultra X9 378H | 16 | Up to 5.0 GHz | 18 MB | Arc B390 |
| Core Ultra X7 368H | 16 | Up to 5.0 GHz | 18 MB | Arc B390 |
| Core Ultra X7 358H | 16 | Up to 4.8 GHz | 18 MB | Arc B390 |
| Core Ultra 5 338H | 12 | Up to 4.7 GHz | 18 MB | Arc B370 |
These are Intel’s catalog specifications, not independent benchmark results. The Series 3 page also lists processors simply with Intel Graphics, so “Core Ultra Series 3” alone does not mean a laptop has B390 or B370 graphics.
How many Xe3 cores does Panther Lake have—and which models have 12?
The two figures answer different questions. The October 2025 leak report attributed 12 Xe3 graphics cores to its proposed top X models and 10 to its proposed X338H. Intel’s October 2025 Panther Lake announcement described an Arc GPU with “up to 12 Xe cores” at the platform level. That announcement does not mean every Panther Lake processor has 12 graphics cores. Intel’s current product catalog identifies the X9 and X7 models above by Arc B390 graphics and the Core Ultra 5 338H by Arc B370 graphics; the cited catalog entries do not give a Xe-core count for those graphics labels. Therefore, the leak’s 12-core figure should not be assigned to a current model as a confirmed SKU specification on the basis of these sources.
Did Intel confirm the leaked CPU configurations?
No. Intel’s current listings confirm product names and specify total CPU core counts, cache, maximum turbo frequency, and graphics labels. They do not confirm the leak report’s P/E/LPE breakdowns or its proposed Xe3 counts. Intel’s platform announcement and SKU catalog serve different purposes: the former described up to 12 Xe cores for the platform, while the latter distinguishes specific products and graphics labels.

What should you compare when choosing a Series 3 laptop?
These are mobile processors for laptops and 2-in-1s, rather than typical desktop CPU upgrades. Intel describes those form factors on its Series 3 product page. A processor’s catalog entry is only one part of a finished laptop’s specification.
- Check the exact processor SKU in the full system listing, not just “Core Ultra Series 3.”
- Confirm whether the listed graphics are Arc B390, Arc B370, or Intel Graphics; the family name does not establish which one is present.
- Compare the total listed CPU core count alongside the laptop’s power and cooling design. A core count or maximum turbo figure alone cannot establish sustained performance.
- Assess the complete system, including memory, display, battery, price, and availability in your region. The cited catalog entries do not provide a fair performance comparison across specific laptop models.
Intel’s own product FAQ says: “With 50% more graphics cores on select SKUs, you get the speed to game, stream and edit media with crisp visuals, or work with robust productivity applications, all without sacrificing performance.” This is Intel’s claim about select products, not an independent gaming or performance test, and the percentage should not be read as a measured performance gain.
