The India-market Infinix HOT 70 Pro pairs a sharp 6.76-inch LCD with a fast-refresh screen and Android 16-based XOS 16. Its interface offers plenty to customize, but the 144Hz ceiling applies only in supported games, and reviewers report preinstalled apps and recommendation folders. The key trade-off is straightforward: it favors smoothness and feature-rich software over the richer contrast of an AMOLED screen.
What the India HOT 70 Pro offers
Infinix’s India product page identifies the HOT 70 Pro as model X6896. It lists a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G chipset, 6GB/128GB or 8GB/128GB configurations, a 50MP Sony IMX882 rear camera, an 8MP front camera, a typical 6000mAh battery, 45W charging, and IP68 resistance. These are manufacturer-listed specifications, not independent test results. Infinix cautions that device details can vary by market.
The India page listed the phone at ₹24,999 when accessed in 2026; that is a page price at that time, not a guarantee of current or market-wide pricing. Infinix’s India HOT 70 Pro page

How good is the display?
Sharp, smooth LCD
For the India model, Infinix specifies a 6.76-inch LTPS LCD at 1080 × 2344 resolution, with refresh-rate options of 45Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, and 144Hz. The company lists typical brightness at 760 nits and high-brightness mode (HBM) at 910 nits. India Today describes the panel as Full HD IPS and found its brightness decent outdoors. The reviewer considered it adequate for streaming, while noting that it does not have AMOLED’s vibrancy and that the display has a visible bottom chin.

144Hz is not the everyday setting everywhere
India Today reports that the screen reaches 144Hz only in supported games; in regular use, the maximum is 120Hz. Treat 144Hz as a peak capability rather than a rate every app or game will use. In practice, the panel’s appeal is its combination of Full HD sharpness and smooth motion, not a promise that all content runs at 144 frames per second.
Infinix’s July 16, 2026 announcement gives a different HBM brightness figure—up to 950 nits—and says battery capacity can be 6000mAh or 5600mAh depending on market. Those announcement figures should not be substituted for the India product page’s 910-nit HBM and 6000mAh typical-battery specifications. Infinix’s July 2026 announcement

What are XOS 16 and the update commitment like?
The India listing says the HOT 70 Pro runs XOS 16 powered by Android 16. India Today reports that Infinix promises three major Android OS upgrades and five years of security patches. That is the company’s stated support commitment as reported by the reviewer; it is not a guarantee that every update will arrive on a particular schedule.
India Today’s reviewer found the interface smooth and customizable, including home-screen depth effects. The same review notes preinstalled third-party apps such as PhonePe and Spotify, games, and recommendation folders. The reviewer says the recommendation folders can be disabled, which offers a way to reduce some of the clutter without implying that every preinstalled app can be removed.

What reviewers say about the rest of the phone
India Today characterizes performance as fairly good but says the cameras could be better. Notebookcheck’s roundup of the 91mobiles review lists the smooth display, battery, design, and low-light photography among its reported strengths, while flagging bloatware and the Active Matrix Cube as drawbacks. Notebookcheck lists the 91mobiles review score as 81%. These are reviewer assessments, not results from a common, controlled comparison, so they are best read as context rather than a guarantee of how the phone will perform for every user. The India model makes the most sense for someone who values a large, high-resolution screen, smooth scrolling, Android 16-based software, and a substantial listed battery. It is a less obvious fit if AMOLED contrast is a priority, if you expect 144Hz in ordinary apps, or if you want a clean installation with few bundled apps. Compare the regional model and its exact configuration before buying, because Infinix says specifications vary by market.
