The Infinix GT 30 5G+ is the more gaming-focused choice on paper, with a 1.5K AMOLED display that supports refresh rates up to 144 Hz. The Samsung Galaxy M47 5G has a 120 Hz FHD+ Super AMOLED display, a larger rated battery and a stated six-generation OS-upgrade and six-year security-update policy. In India, a dated third-party price snapshot put the M47 ₹3,000 above one GT 30 configuration, but that is not a verified current or like-for-like price gap.
Infinix GT 30 vs Samsung Galaxy M47 5G: key specifications
The specifications point to different priorities: the GT 30 offers the higher display resolution and refresh-rate ceiling, while the M47 lists a larger typical battery and a defined software-support commitment. Specs alone do not establish real-world performance, battery life or image quality.

Specifications can vary by market and variant. Infinix’s global product details are not a substitute for checking the exact India model, and Samsung’s support commitment is counted from the M47’s first global launch. The two phones’ durability claims use different terms and should not be treated as equivalent ratings.
Display and gaming: GT 30 has the higher stated ceiling
The GT 30’s 1224 × 2720 resolution is higher than the M47’s 1080 × 2340, and its listed refresh modes reach 144 Hz rather than the M47’s maximum of 120 Hz. Infinix positions the GT 30 around gaming and identifies the Dimensity 7400 5G platform. Those figures describe the hardware, not guaranteed frame rates or a measured gaming-performance advantage. A game must also support the relevant refresh rate, and actual performance depends on factors such as software and thermal conditions.

The M47’s Super AMOLED panel may suit buyers who prefer Samsung’s display and software ecosystem, but the available specifications do not establish which screen looks better in everyday use. The resolution and refresh-rate difference is clearest as a paper advantage for the GT 30, not proof of a universally superior viewing experience.
Battery and charging: larger capacity on the M47
Samsung lists a 6,000 mAh typical battery for the M47, compared with the GT 30’s 5,500 mAh typical capacity. Both list charging up to 45 W. Infinix also specifies up to 10 W reverse charging for the GT 30, while Samsung says the M47’s fast charger is sold separately.

Capacity figures are not battery-life tests. They cannot, by themselves, show which phone lasts longer, because screen settings, network conditions, software and usage all affect runtime.

Software support: Samsung states a defined commitment
Samsung says the M47 receives six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates from its first global launch. Samsung India’s product page gives a launch date of 29 June 2026 and lists security-update validity through 31 July 2032. These are Samsung’s stated policy and date for the India listing; check Samsung’s page for any later changes.

Infinix’s global GT 30 specification page identifies XOS 15 powered by Android 15. The cited material does not establish a directly comparable India-specific update commitment for the GT 30, so the two software-support policies cannot be compared on equal terms from these details alone.
Cameras: compare listed features, not assumed image quality
Samsung lists a 50 MP main rear camera with OIS, alongside 5 MP and 2 MP rear cameras, a 12 MP front camera and UHD 4K recording at 30 fps. The official Infinix specification extract available here does not expose the full GT 30 camera section, so a complete camera-spec comparison is not possible from these sources. Nor do megapixel counts or OIS alone establish which phone takes better photos or videos.

What is the price difference in India?
At the time of access, Infinix India’s official smartphones collection listed the GT 30 5G+ from ₹21,999, with a regular price shown as ₹24,999. This is a live-store snapshot and may change; it is not a guaranteed ongoing price.

Separately, Smartprix’s comparison page, last updated 3 July 2026, showed ₹22,999 for an 8GB/256GB Infinix GT 30 and ₹25,999 for the Samsung Galaxy M47—a ₹3,000 difference in that dated snapshot. Which phone should you buy?
Choose the Infinix GT 30 5G+ if
- You want the higher listed display resolution and a refresh-rate ceiling of 144 Hz.
- You prefer a phone explicitly positioned by its manufacturer for gaming, while understanding that the specifications are not a performance test.
- Reverse charging is useful to you and you are considering it alongside the listed 5,500 mAh typical battery.
Choose the Samsung Galaxy M47 5G if
- You value Samsung’s stated six OS generations and six years of security updates.
- You prefer the larger listed 6,000 mAh typical battery, without treating capacity as a guarantee of longer runtime.
- OIS on the main rear camera and the listed 4K/30 video capability matter to your feature checklist.
For a purchase decision, compare the current price of the exact RAM and storage variants you would buy, then weigh the GT 30’s display and gaming emphasis against the M47’s listed battery capacity and stated software policy.
