The Infinix GT 30 Pro is a gaming-first midrange phone whose strongest case is its mix of built-in gaming triggers, a fast AMOLED display, and a large battery. It is worth considering if those gaming features matter more to you than a camera-led experience or a clearly established long-term software-support commitment. It is not a guarantee of maximum settings and frame rates in every demanding game.
What stands out about the Infinix GT 30 Pro?
Infinix markets the India model, called the GT 30 Pro 5G+, as an esports-ready phone. Its distinctive gaming feature is a pair of built-in GT triggers, alongside customizable Mecha Lights. Those controls give the phone a more gaming-focused identity than a specification sheet alone would suggest, though their usefulness depends on the games you play and whether you prefer physical-style controls.
The display and core hardware reinforce that positioning. Infinix’s India listing specifies a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPS AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor. Android Central describes the reviewed platform as the Dimensity 8350 Ultimate and the display as 2720 × 1224, with 144Hz available in select situations. A high maximum refresh rate does not mean every app or game runs at that rate.

Android Central found the GT 30 Pro capable for everyday use and gaming at its price, but said visually demanding games may need lower graphics settings. The review also notes 120fps support in selected popular games; that is game-dependent support, not a promise that every title will reach 120 frames per second. GSMArena’s verdict likewise characterizes the phone as a niche midrange option with mixed results in its gaming focus.

That makes the practical buying question less about the advertised peak refresh rate and more about the titles you play, the settings you are willing to use, and whether the triggers improve your controls. If you mainly play demanding games and expect maximum visual quality alongside the highest frame rates, seek results for those specific games before choosing it.
Display, battery, and charging specifications
The manufacturer lists a 5500mAh battery and 30W wireless charging for the India product. GSMArena’s reviewed-unit summary lists 45W wired charging, 30W wireless charging, 10W reverse wired charging, 5W reverse wireless charging, and bypass charging. These are review specifications for the unit and market GSMArena covered; regional versions may differ, so check the local listing for the exact configuration.
The screen’s 1.5K resolution and high advertised refresh rate are compelling on paper, while Android Central describes battery life positively in its review. The available review evidence does not establish a controlled battery comparison against other phones, so treat that as the reviewer’s experience rather than a guarantee of a particular runtime.

Are the cameras a reason to buy it?
Infinix lists a 108MP main camera on its India product page. That resolution is a hardware specification, not a measure of image quality by itself. The GT 30 Pro’s clearer differentiators are its gaming controls, display, and performance-oriented features; camera results are not the main reason to choose it. If camera performance is central to your decision, look for sample images and assessments covering daylight, low light, and ultrawide use rather than relying on megapixels alone.
Software and update commitment
Android Central reports that the phone shipped with XOS 15 based on Android 15 and would receive two software updates. That is a limited commitment compared with phones promising longer support. The cited review does not establish a complete security-patch schedule or the current rollout status for every region, so confirm the applicable policy for your market before buying if support longevity is important.
India price and configurations
Prices in the available sources are not directly interchangeable: one is a report of launch pricing, while the other is a later manufacturer listing. Both concern India and should be checked against the current offer and exact variant.

What to check before choosing it
Compare the GT 30 Pro with alternatives at the price you can actually buy it for, using the same memory and storage tier. Focus on the performance you can expect in your own games, rather than the maximum refresh rate in isolation. Also compare display resolution and brightness, wired and wireless charging, camera performance across the situations you care about, and the length of Android and security support.
India Today rated the phone 7.5/10 in its review published June 6, 2025. That score is one publication’s assessment, not a universal rating; its review describes use involving work apps, social media, frequent camera use, and gaming.

Verdict: who should buy the Infinix GT 30 Pro?
The GT 30 Pro makes the most sense for someone who wants gaming-oriented controls and a fast, high-resolution AMOLED screen in a midrange phone, and who is comfortable adjusting settings in demanding games. Its gaming features are real differentiators, but they do not remove the usual limits of game-specific frame-rate support or make it a camera-first choice.
Before buying, weigh the price of the exact local configuration against competing options and decide whether the reported two-update commitment is sufficient for your expected ownership period. If gaming triggers and display speed are priorities, it merits a place on your shortlist; if camera quality or long-term updates lead your priorities, those trade-offs deserve more weight.
