The Infinix GT 30 Pro is the stronger on-paper gaming upgrade, with a newer chipset, a higher-resolution 1.5K display, a larger battery, gaming triggers and wireless charging. The GT 20 Pro still has a dedicated Pixelworks display chip and lists optical image stabilization on its main camera. The price winner is unclear: Infinix India lists the GT 30 Pro at ₹31,999 MRP, but a current like-for-like GT 20 Pro price is not established.

Which phone is faster for gaming?
GT 30 Pro: newer listed chipset
The GT 30 Pro uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate, while the GT 20 Pro uses the Dimensity 8200 Ultimate. That makes the GT 30 Pro the newer step up in the chipset specification, but chipset names alone do not establish a specific gaming-performance advantage. No controlled head-to-head benchmark or sustained gaming test is established here, so there is no defensible percentage by which one is faster.

GT 20 Pro: dedicated display processing
The GT 20 Pro includes a Pixelworks X5 Turbo gaming display chip. Infinix says it can interpolate some games up to 120 FPS; that is a manufacturer feature claim, not a promise that every game runs at that rate. Game support, settings and conditions matter. The GT 30 Pro’s India listing does not establish an equivalent frame-interpolation claim.
Both phones advertise 144Hz displays, but a panel’s refresh rate is not the same as a game’s frame rate. The game must support the relevant frame-rate mode, and actual performance also depends on software, settings and thermal behavior. Infinix’s “GT Verse” positioning is described by product director Weiqi Nie as “a full-stack experience designed around the needs of mobile gamers” in an Android Central interview published May 29, 2025; that positioning does not substitute for comparative testing.

How do the displays and gaming controls differ?
Both screens are listed at 144Hz, but the GT 30 Pro’s panel is described as 1.5K AMOLED, while the GT 20 Pro is FHD+ AMOLED. The GT 30 Pro therefore has the higher listed resolution. Higher resolution can make content look sharper, though gaming smoothness still depends on the title and its supported settings.

The GT 30 Pro also adds gaming triggers, a hardware feature relevant to players who prefer physical controls. The official India listing identifies the triggers, but this comparison does not establish game-by-game compatibility or an independent assessment of their responsiveness.

Which has better cameras?
The GT 20 Pro lists a 108MP main rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), alongside two 2MP cameras, and a 32MP selfie camera. The GT 30 Pro lists a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide and a 13MP front camera. These figures describe camera hardware, not image quality: megapixel counts cannot show how well a phone handles detail, motion, low light or color. No direct camera test of both models is established, so the specifications do not support a confident overall camera winner.
Battery, charging and accessories
Infinix’s global GT 20 Pro overview lists a 5,000mAh battery and 45W wired charging. The GT 30 Pro India listing gives a 5,500mAh battery and 30W wireless charging. The wireless figure is not a wired-charging specification, so it does not show that the GT 30 Pro charges faster by cable. Battery capacity alone also cannot establish which lasts longer in real use; no direct endurance comparison is available.

Android Central’s GT 30 Pro review, published July 5, 2025, describes a Gaming Kit with a MagCharge Cooler, a fan attached using a magnetic case. Confirm that a kit is currently sold for your exact variant and verify its contents before buying; availability is not established here. A Bluetooth controller may be useful for games that support controllers, but compatibility should be checked game by game.
What is the price difference?
A current, like-for-like India price difference cannot be calculated from the available figures because a current GT 20 Pro price has not been established. Infinix India’s GT 30 Pro product page displayed an MRP of ₹31,999 inclusive of taxes when accessed October 7, 2026. That is an MRP listing, not necessarily the price offered by a particular seller.

For historical context only, Android Central reported GT 30 Pro launch prices in 2025 of ₹24,999 for 8GB/256GB and ₹26,999 for 12GB/256GB. Those launch prices are not current street-price quotes. Compare the same RAM/storage tier, country, seller type and device condition, and account for local warranty and stock before deciding which costs less.
Which Infinix phone should you choose?
Choose the GT 30 Pro if
- You want the newer listed chipset and higher-resolution display.
- You value the larger listed battery, wireless charging or gaming triggers.
- You want an ultrawide rear camera, which is listed on the GT 30 Pro but not the GT 20 Pro specifications page.
Choose the GT 20 Pro if
- The Pixelworks X5 Turbo display chip’s supported game interpolation features matter to you.
- You prefer a main camera specification that explicitly lists OIS or a higher-resolution selfie camera.
- You find it at a meaningfully lower current price for the same memory/storage tier and with suitable local warranty coverage.
For either model, compare actual supported frame-rate options in the games you play and seek comparable independent testing if sustained performance, heat or battery life is decisive. Do not treat the 144Hz display figure as proof of a game’s frame rate.
