This project is a free AI-assisted writing toolkit for LinkedIn profiles, resumes, and bios, built with Next.js and Groq. Its value is practical: it can help turn rough career notes into a starting draft. It cannot verify a work history, decide what belongs on a resume, or guarantee that polished wording is accurate. Treat every result as editable copy, not a finished application.
What the toolkit is—and what it does not claim
The title establishes the toolkit’s intended focus—LinkedIn, resumes, and bios—and its use of Next.js and Groq. It does not establish a precise feature list, model identifier, deployment provider, performance results, or user testing. Those details should not be inferred from the stack alone.
For a reader, the useful distinction is between assistance with wording and judgment about career facts. An AI writing tool may help organize or rephrase information you provide; the person using it still has to supply the facts, choose what to disclose, and decide whether the result fits the opportunity and their voice.
How do I write a LinkedIn bio with AI?
Start with accurate source material rather than asking a tool to invent a professional identity. A useful prompt can include your current role or target role, relevant experience, strengths you can demonstrate, audience, preferred tone, and a length limit. Ask for a draft based only on those details, and instruct it to flag gaps instead of filling them in.
#1 Best Overall
- Gather the facts: list roles, dates, responsibilities, accomplishments, and skills you can substantiate.
- Set the purpose: say whether the bio is for a LinkedIn About section, a short profile, or another context.
- Request a draft: ask for clear language and a specified tone, while explicitly prohibiting invented results, credentials, or employers.
- Edit and verify: check every claim, remove generic language, and make the final copy sound like you.
LinkedIn also documents AI-assisted writing features on its own platform. Its help material describes the processing of information associated with AI features, including career-related information such as saved resumes and profile suggestions. Can AI help rewrite my resume?
Yes—as an editing aid, not as a source of new qualifications. You can ask it to clarify a bullet, reduce repetition, or tailor wording to a job description, but compare the revised version with your original records. A confident-sounding sentence is not evidence that its numbers, scope, or outcome are true.

- Confirm names, dates, titles, tools, credentials, and every metric.
- Keep accomplishments within the responsibilities you actually held.
- Check that the wording does not imply a skill or result you cannot discuss in an interview.
- Review the finished resume for tone, relevance, and fit with the specific role.
Groq’s Acceptable Use & Responsible AI Policy, effective October 15, 2025, says: “Outputs should be evaluated for accuracy and appropriateness.” It also notes that outputs may be inaccurate and places responsibility for decisions based on them on customers. For career materials, that means reviewing every statement before submitting it—not assuming fluent prose is factual. Read Groq’s policy.

How does Next.js + Groq fit into an AI writing toolkit?
At a high level, Next.js can provide the web application and server-side request handling, while Groq provides the AI service used for generation. The specific implementation details of this toolkit—such as its route structure, model, deployment, and request controls—are not established here, so they should not be treated as confirmed features.

Next.js 14 documentation describes Route Handlers as request handlers in route.js or route.ts files inside the app directory; they support methods including POST and can support streaming. That documentation is for Next.js 14 and was last updated February 23, 2024, so check the documentation for the version used by a particular project before relying on version-specific behavior. A generation endpoint should be treated as a public-facing API endpoint, even when it is part of a small writing app. Next.js’s authentication guidance says Route Handlers need the same security considerations as public-facing endpoints. In practice, a builder should validate submitted input, consider abuse and rate controls, and keep provider credentials out of client-side code. These are implementation safeguards, not verified features of this toolkit. Next.js authentication guidance.

Is it safe to paste my resume into an AI tool?
There is no blanket answer based only on the product name or model provider. The relevant question is what the specific app sends, which service endpoint and features it uses, and what retention and control settings apply. Before pasting a resume, avoid unnecessary sensitive details and read the app’s privacy information if available.

The choice is not simply between a third-party generator and no processing; compare the relevant disclosures for the service you choose, and share only information you are comfortable submitting.
Quick Recap
What to check before using a generated draft
- Accuracy: every date, title, accomplishment, metric, and credential matches your records.
- Appropriateness: the tone and detail fit the platform, audience, and role.
- Privacy: you understand what information the tool receives and what controls apply.
- Ownership of the final text: you have edited it enough to stand behind every sentence.
