Mark Kashef, founder of Prompt Advisers, says businesses should do three things before expecting AI to improve their work: organize their operations and data, connect the systems a workflow depends on, and define what compliance means for their specific use case. In Amanda Breen’s October 1, 2026, Entrepreneur profile, Kashef describes how that advice shaped a business that grew from writing individual prompts into consulting, education, and selective custom development. His revenue and pricing figures are claims reported in the profile, not independently verified results.
Kashef’s three sentences of advice
Kashef’s summary for businesses considering AI is: “Clean your back of house. Make sure your systems can talk to each other. And understand what it means for you to be compliant, because that means different things to different people.” He presents these as practical readiness advice, not as a formal technical or legal standard.
1. Clean up operations, data, and procedures
“Back of house” means the less visible foundations of a business: organized systems, usable information, and documented standard operating procedures. Kashef’s point is that AI is more likely to help when a company has already defined how work gets done and can name the problem it wants to solve.

2. Check whether systems can exchange the information the workflow needs
A proposed AI workflow may depend on information stored in multiple tools. Before building it, identify where that information lives and whether the systems can share what the workflow requires. Kashef’s advice is about practical interoperability; it does not mean every system must be replaced or connected in the same way.
3. Define compliance for the particular use case
Kashef emphasizes that compliance has different meanings for different organizations. A business should identify the rules, policies, and review needs that apply to its own data, users, and intended use before deploying a workflow. His advice is not a substitute for legal, security, or regulatory review.

How Prompt Advisers developed
According to Breen’s as-told-to profile, Kashef earned a master’s degree in management and AI in 2019 and started Prompt Advisers a few days after ChatGPT launched in late 2022. He initially sold prompt-writing services through Fiverr, then describes demand expanding from individual prompts to larger engagements. YouTube content and inbound business inquiries helped the company grow, according to his account.
The profile says the business later shifted from custom development toward consulting and education. Kashef attributes that change to the pace of technology and shifting project scope, which made custom development harder for the company to manage profitably. Consulting and education, he says, help organizations learn to identify and work through their own AI use cases.
Reported business mix and service examples
Entrepreneur reports that Prompt Advisers’ current mix is 70% consulting and education and 30% custom development. That is a company-specific figure reported in 2026, not a benchmark for other AI consultancies.
The profile describes small- and medium-business workshops tailored to stakeholder pain points, including brief individual consultations and follow-up clarification. Some enterprise engagements involve more tailored teaching for particular departments and compliance contexts. Custom development may follow an initial consulting engagement.

What the reported prices and revenue do—and do not—show
Kashef told Entrepreneur that a small- and medium-business workshop package costs $2,500, a retainer costs $8,000 per month, and enterprise engagements range from $15,000 to more than $50,000. The profile does not establish that these prices are universal, apply to every engagement, or are current beyond its October 2026 publication.
Kashef also said Prompt Advisers generated $1 million in revenue the previous year and projected revenue of $1.5 million to $2 million for the year of the profile. These are attributed business claims, not independently audited financial results. A projection is not the same as realized revenue.

Why the story includes Claude Code—and what it says about nontechnical users
Kashef says he hears the belief, “I’m non-technical, ergo, that means I’m not eligible to use Claude Code.” He also says members of his community use Claude Code for tasks such as creating PowerPoint, Excel, and Word documents, not only for writing software. These are examples from his account, not a survey of users or an independent evaluation of the product.
The profile quotes Kashef saying that a business “only earns that luxury” of adopting AI by having proper systems and data that are not “a complete mess.” In context, the point is readiness: a tool’s apparent accessibility does not remove the need to understand the workflow, information, and oversight it will involve.
What this story can—and cannot—tell a business considering AI help
The profile illustrates one provider’s evolution from prompt writing to education, consulting, and custom implementation. Its reported service mix and pricing can help readers understand the kinds of engagements Kashef describes, but it is not a head-to-head comparison of providers, a tested ranking, or proof that a workshop, retainer, or custom build is right for every company.

Before choosing among them, Kashef’s three-part advice offers a practical first check: clarify the process and data, verify the needed connections, and determine the applicable compliance requirements.
Entrepreneur also attributes to Fiverr’s 2026 Business Trends Index a 938% increase in demand for Claude Code specialists over the preceding six months. That figure is Fiverr’s reported trend as quoted by Entrepreneur; the profile does not independently validate the underlying analysis.
