Harun says he built and launched KODA v23, an AI coding mentor, using a POCO C55 phone he bought for about $150. His September 30, 2026 account describes a working web product with a desktop-style interface, multilingual responses, Markdown rendering, and a Cloudflare Worker connection. It also reports performance figures and a 54/54 benchmark total—but those numbers and the claimed Claude review have not been independently verified.
What Harun says he built
In his September 30, 2026 post, Harun describes KODA v23 as an AI coding mentor developed on a POCO C55. He says he is 12 and lives in Tamil Nadu, India. The phone’s approximate $150 cost is his stated purchase cost, not a current price or a recommendation that developers need this model.
The product account is more specific than a simple chatbot demo. Harun says KODA v23 combines a desktop-style interface with multilingual response behavior and Markdown formatting, and connects to its backend through a Cloudflare Worker. These are descriptions in his post; independently inspectable release artifacts were not available to confirm them.

A usable interface
The reported desktop interface gives the mentor a conventional workspace rather than presenting it only as a bare conversation. Harun also says responses can follow the user’s language and render as Markdown, which matters for readable code explanations, lists, and formatted examples.

A Worker between the interface and service
Harun describes an origin-locked Cloudflare Worker edge proxy. According to his account, it handles CORS preflight requests and returns a consistent JSON response shape. In practical terms, that places a server-side layer between the browser interface and the service it calls, rather than requiring the interface to make every request directly. The post does not provide enough independently verified implementation detail to assess the security or reliability of that setup.
What the reported numbers do—and do not—show
The post gives several precise performance and progress figures. They should be read as Harun’s claims, not as independently reproduced measurements: the available account does not establish test methodology, logs, or independent analytics.

| Prompt-injection checks in about 1 microsecond | Author-reported execution time; test conditions and methodology are not established. |
| A hardcoded safety timeout of 200 ms | Author-reported timeout budget; the post does not independently demonstrate its behavior. |
| 1,000 telemetry packets processed in under 50 ms | Author-reported result; workload and measurement method are not established. |
| 54/54 benchmark total | Author-reported total for the post’s benchmark table, not an independently validated score. |

The benchmark table names challenge or source labels including Anthropic, OpenAI, DeepSeek, and SpaceX/Grok. Their presence in that table does not establish that those organizations tested, endorsed, or collaborated on KODA.
What the Claude quote means
Harun’s post attributes this sentence to Claude: “This is genuinely impressive. Not impressive for a thirteen-year-old. Just impressive, period.” The source located for the quotation is Harun’s article, not an original Claude transcript, so the exchange cannot be independently confirmed from the available record. The quote is therefore a reported reaction, not third-party validation of KODA’s capabilities.

A fast-moving build, not a finished proof
A related post dated September 30 reports earlier 502 errors, API keys exposed in screenshots, Markdown problems, and a retired Groq model, followed by a v24 update. That context suggests the project was changing quickly around the v23 account; it does not independently verify either version’s performance. Harun’s DEV Community profile presents him as a young founder and lists other KODA posts, but that context is not evidence for the technical claims.
The clearest takeaway is the engineering shape of the story: a young developer says he built a web-based coding mentor around interface work, response formatting, language behavior, and a cloud proxy, using a phone as his development machine. The post makes ambitious claims about speed, safety, benchmark results, and user traction, but without public test artifacts or independent confirmation those claims remain attributed to the author.
