ALE-L21C432B560 is a historical Android 6.0 Marshmallow/EMUI 4.0 full firmware package for the 2015 dual-SIM Huawei P8 Lite sold with the European C432 customization. It was reported on May 10, 2016, with a compressed archive of about 1.48–1.49 GB. It is not the latest firmware by today’s standards: later C432 builds, including B564, were subsequently documented. Huawei’s current support pages do not confirm that the original B560 download remains available, so verify any mirror, checksum and phone identity before flashing.

What ALE-L21C432B560 means

Item Value
Device Huawei P8 Lite (2015)
Model ALE-L21, dual-SIM
Customization C432, European open-market distribution
Build ALE-L21C432B560
Android 6.0 Marshmallow
EMUI 4.0
Historical release report May 10, 2016
Package Full firmware image
Reported compressed size Approximately 1.48–1.49 GB

Archived listings describe the package as Poland, Europe, or “Channel-Others.” One historical filename is Huawei_P8 Lite_Firmware_ALE-L21_Andriod 6.0_EMUI4.0_C432B560_Poland_Channel-Others.zip. “Andriod” is a filename spelling error, not by itself evidence that the archive is malicious. The build and package details were reported by contemporaneous coverage such as forum.android.com.pl and Android Sage.

Is B560 the latest P8 Lite firmware?

No. “Latest” was accurate only in the context of the original 2016 release coverage. Later C432 Marshmallow builds, including B564, were reported for the ALE-L21 family in subsequent coverage. The available current Huawei support pages do not establish a complete historical release list or confirm a live B560 download. If your goal is simply the newest stock Marshmallow build, a later, verified C432 package may be preferable; do not call it the current latest without checking its complete release history.

Check your phone before downloading

The name “P8 Lite” is not enough. Firmware for ALE-L01, ALE-L02, ALE-L23, carrier variants and the different P8 Lite 2017 hardware family is not automatically interchangeable.

  1. Open Settings > About phone.
  2. Record the model number, build number, Android version and EMUI version.
  3. Confirm the model is ALE-L21 and look for the C432 customization in the build or software information.
  4. Confirm that the phone is dual-SIM.
  5. Note whether it has been rooted, debranded, converted between single- and dual-SIM firmware, fitted with TWRP, or otherwise modified.

Community reports of upgrades from some earlier C432 builds, including B190 and B550, are not a universal compatibility guarantee. A different CUST/region, carrier software or modified partition layout can make a full package fail or damage radio functionality.

Obtaining and checking the firmware safely

Historical posts linked to Huawei’s download-center domain, but a currently working, complete Huawei URL for B560 has not been verified. Do not label a third-party mirror “official” merely because its filename contains B560.

  • Prefer a Huawei-hosted archive or a reputable preservation site that identifies the original source.
  • Compare the model, C432 region, build and full-package description.
  • Use the historical size of roughly 1.48–1.49 GB as a warning check, not as proof of authenticity.
  • Obtain and compare an SHA-256 or MD5 checksum when the host publishes one. No verified current checksum is established here.
  • Scan the archive before extraction.
  • After extraction, expect a dload folder containing the signed UPDATE.APP file.
  • Do not rename, recompress, edit or partially extract UPDATE.APP.

If provenance and integrity cannot be established, stop rather than flashing an unknown archive.

Try the least invasive update method first

Built-in updater

Connect to Wi-Fi, charge the phone above 30%, and check Settings > Updater (the label can vary). Huawei’s general instructions are available at Huawei support. In 2026, an OTA offer for a 2016 build should not be expected.

HiSuite

Install Huawei’s official HiSuite, connect with a reliable data cable and choose Update when the phone is recognized. Do not disconnect the cable, restart the phone, change the microSD card or interrupt the process. HiSuite may no longer serve B560 to a legacy device, but it is the safer first-party recovery option when available.

Prepare for a local dload installation

  • Back up photos, contacts, messages, authenticator codes and documents to a computer or another independent location. A full-image installation can erase the phone.
  • Charge well above the minimum; Huawei specifies more than 30% battery for updates.
  • Use a known-good microSD card and format it with a file system accepted by the phone.
  • Remove incompatible modifications where possible. Root, custom recovery, altered product/CUST partitions and an unlocked bootloader can change the outcome.
  • Ensure the archive extracts without errors and that the card’s root contains the complete dload folder.

Install B560 with the legacy SD-card method

  1. Extract the firmware archive on a computer.
  2. Copy the complete dload folder, including UPDATE.APP, to the microSD card’s root directory.
  3. Insert the card into the powered-on phone.
  4. Open the dialer and enter *#*#2846579#*#*.
  5. Choose ProjectMenu > Software Upgrade > SDCard Upgrade.
  6. Confirm the update and leave the phone untouched while it verifies and installs the package.
  7. Allow the restart. The first boot can take considerably longer than normal.
  8. After a successful boot, remove the dload folder or the card to prevent an accidental repeat update.

This menu path and code come from period community documentation, including Androidiani’s B560 discussion. Labels and availability can differ on modified or regional software.

Three-button fallback

Contemporaneous guides also describe a recovery-triggered method:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. Power the phone off.
  2. Insert the microSD card containing dload.
  3. Hold Volume Up + Volume Down + Power together.
  4. Follow the stock updater screen and wait for verification and installation to finish.

This is a legacy fallback, not a guaranteed universal procedure. Key behavior can differ after a conversion, custom recovery installation or failed flash. The historical method is documented in this unbrick discussion.

Data loss and post-install checks

Assume that personal data may be lost. Archived Polish coverage explicitly warned that the procedure could erase everything, and a backup stored only on the phone may be inaccessible after a failure.

When Android starts, check:

  • Settings > About phone: ALE-L21, expected C432 build, Android 6.0 and EMUI 4.0.
  • Both SIM slots, calls, mobile data and network registration.
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, camera, storage and charging.
  • Whether setup requests a factory reset or account verification.

Troubleshooting and stop conditions

“Software upgrade failed”

  • Recheck ALE-L21 and C432, not merely “P8 Lite.”
  • Test a known-good microSD card and reformat it.
  • Re-extract the archive and place only the required dload folder at the card root.
  • Check for a damaged download or modified partitions.
  • Try HiSuite recovery if it recognizes the phone.

Stuck on the Huawei logo

Wait through the unusually long first boot. If it remains stuck, stock recovery may offer a factory reset, but that erases user data. If recovery will not load, stop trying random regional packages and use a technician experienced with Huawei Kirin-era devices.

SIM or network functions are missing

This strongly indicates a model or regional mismatch, or damaged modem-related partitions. Do not “fix” it by cross-flashing another region.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The package is rejected immediately

Likely causes include an incorrect model or CUST, a damaged UPDATE.APP, or an unsupported transition path. Do not bypass Huawei signature and compatibility checks with improvised tools.

When B560 is—and is not—the right choice

  • Use it: when the phone is confirmed ALE-L21, its customization matches C432, the historical build is specifically required, and you have a trusted unmodified package and independent backup.
  • Prefer a later compatible build: when you only need the newest historically available stock Marshmallow software and a verified C432 release is available.
  • Avoid it: for P8 Lite 2017, ALE-L01/ALE-L02/ALE-L23, C185/C636/C150 or carrier packages, unknown mirrors, modified partition layouts, or situations where data loss and repair costs are unacceptable.

Bottom line

ALE-L21C432B560 is a genuine historical European dual-SIM Marshmallow package, not a current “latest” release. Verify the complete model and customization, prefer Updater or HiSuite, and treat a local dload flash as a potentially destructive repair procedure. If you cannot verify the archive’s provenance and checksum, or the phone’s C432 identity, do not install it.
