HPE announced in September 2024 that its HPE Aruba Networking channel organization would join HPE Global Sales on November 1, 2024. The intended result was one simpler partner interface for HPE’s wider edge-to-cloud portfolio while retaining networking specialists. HPE described those as goals and operating-model commitments, not independently measured outcomes.
What HPE changed on November 1, 2024
The 2024 announcement moved the Aruba Networking channel team into HPE Global Sales. Before the change, partners could encounter separate HPE and Aruba organizations when handling networking prices, channel questions and broader solution opportunities. HPE’s stated model was to give partners a more unified point of engagement across HPE businesses.
CRN reported that a single partner business manager would own the relationship, so a partner would not need to approach separate organizations for networking pricing and channel issues. That is the announced operating plan, not evidence that every country or partner now uses an identical process.

Simon Ewington, HPE’s senior vice president of worldwide channel and partner ecosystem, said: “This is about driving an optimized, improved experience for our partners, it is not about cost optimization.”
#1 Best Overall
- Smart-managed Layer 2 Ethernet switch series ready to deploy in 8-, 24-, 48-port for non-PoE and Class 4 PoE models.
- Up to 370W of PoE to power APs, IP Phones, surveillance cameras, door locks and other IoT devices
- Two (2) and four (4) dedicated 1G SFP fiber ports on 24- and 48-port models respectively to eliminate traffic bottlenecks across your network
- Cost-effective PoE Support: with half of the ports capable of supporting PoE, these switches are ideal for cost-sensitive environments.
- 8-port non-PoE switch that can be powered by an upstream Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch for environments where no line power is available.
Will Aruba networking specialists remain?
HPE said the integration would not eliminate networking expertise. Its announcement stated that partners focused only on networking would “continue to have the same level of engagement as always.” The model was described as a combination of networking-specialist support and sales teams able to sell solutions spanning multiple HPE business units.
In practical terms, a networking-led opportunity was supposed to retain access to Aruba-focused expertise, while a larger project could be coordinated through a broader HPE sales relationship. The announcement does not independently establish staffing levels, response times or local reporting lines, so partners should confirm their current contacts with HPE.
What partners were expected to gain
- One broader engagement path: a unified HPE relationship for channel matters and quotations was the central promise.
- Networking continuity: HPE said networking-only partners would keep their existing level of engagement.
- Cross-portfolio selling: sales teams could combine Aruba networking with other HPE edge-to-cloud offerings.
- Less organizational friction: the stated aim was to avoid routing a partner between separate HPE and Aruba organizations.
These are descriptions of HPE’s intended model. The available reporting does not provide an independent survey or measurement showing that the promised experience was achieved uniformly.

How Partner Ready Vantage fits
Partner Ready Vantage was HPE’s shared partner-program blueprint for HPE and HPE Aruba Networking tracks. CRN reported more than 2,000 enrolled partners when the program launched in November 2023. HPE program material also says more than 90% of HPE Aruba Networking business flows through channel partners, although the accessible program-guide excerpt does not establish a year for that figure.
HPE’s current partner information identifies several routes. They are routes into the ecosystem, not a ranking or a guarantee of identical commercial terms.
| Partner route | Typical role | Best fit | What to verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| Channel partner or solution provider | Resells, integrates, supports and may manage Aruba solutions | Customers buying a complete networking solution through a reseller | Local enrollment, training, deal registration, incentives and pricing eligibility |
| Managed service provider (MSP) | Operates networking services for customers, often as a recurring service | Organizations outsourcing day-to-day network operations | Service-delivery requirements and country availability |
| Global service provider (GSP) | Delivers connectivity or managed services at broad geographic scale | Multi-country or carrier-style deployments | Global program criteria and regional coverage |
| Global system integrator (GSI) | Designs and implements complex, multi-vendor transformation projects | Large enterprises requiring integration across HPE and other platforms | Geographic scope, certification and solution competencies |
| Technology partner | Provides interoperable products or integrations around Aruba solutions | Joint solutions that combine networking with security, cloud or other technologies | Interoperability-program requirements and supported combinations |
What the solution-provider program can include
HPE’s solution-provider guide describes a package that may include:
Rank #3
- ARUBA HPE NETWORKING INSTANT ON 1930 8G 2SFP 124W SWITCH US
- Sales and technical training
- Deal registration
- Incentives and, in strategic markets, preferential pricing
- Marketing tools and sales resources
- Technical-community support
Those benefits are program descriptions, not universal entitlements. Qualification rules, availability and commercial terms can vary by market, partner type and solution. Check the current HPE partner materials before promising a benefit to a customer or building a business case around it.
Recruitment priorities mentioned in 2024
Alain Carpentier, whom CRN identified as Aruba’s senior vice president of worldwide sales, said HPE was interested in Cisco partners and security-focused ecosystems, including Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks and Zscaler partners. This was a stated recruiting priority. It was not a promise of special terms, nor a claim that every partner of those companies was eligible for HPE’s program.
What changed again after Juniper
HPE’s 2026 materials describe a broader HPE Networking team following the integration of Juniper Networks sales. HPE said more than 1,000 new partners had been onboarded in connection with that sales integration.
Rank #4
- ARUBA HPE NETWORKING INSTANT ON 1930 8G 2SFP SWITCH US
In May 2026, HPE named Ingram Micro and TD SYNNEX as global distribution partners. The announcement said country-level distributor selection work would continue, so the global names should not be treated as a complete list of distributors available in every market. Local partners should verify which distributor, enrollment path and ordering process apply in their country.
Because the 2024 Aruba announcement predates the Juniper integration, its reporting lines and named executives should not be assumed to describe HPE’s confirmed 2026 leadership structure.

- Identify your current HPE owner. Ask whether your account is handled through the unified HPE Networking organization, a country sales team or a distributor.
- Confirm your program route. Decide whether your business is primarily a reseller, MSP, GSP, GSI or technology partner; the required capabilities and terms may differ.
- Check local eligibility. Verify certifications, training, deal-registration rules, incentives, pricing and geographic availability in the current HPE materials.
- Map cross-portfolio opportunities. Document where Aruba networking can be sold with other HPE products or services and which specialist contacts support each opportunity.
- Reconfirm distribution. Ask which authorized distributor serves your country; global appointments do not automatically determine local availability.
- Keep customer commitments conditional. Do not quote a discount, incentive or service level until HPE or the applicable distributor confirms it for your market and partner status.
What this means for customers
Customers may see partners present Aruba networking as part of a wider HPE proposal rather than as a separate networking transaction. That can simplify projects requiring connectivity, security, compute, storage or services from several HPE businesses. It does not mean every partner sells the full portfolio, and it does not remove the need to validate architecture, support ownership and local commercial terms.
Bottom line for partners
The 2024 move was an organizational attempt to make HPE easier to engage while preserving Aruba networking specialization. The 2026 Juniper-related expansion means the relevant context is now HPE Networking rather than the pre-November-2024 Aruba channel structure alone. Partners should treat the unified interface and retained specialist support as HPE’s stated model, then verify their actual contact, program route, distributor and benefits in their market.
