HPE will return as a Worldwide Supplier for the 2027 Ryder Cup, with plans to provide a Wi-Fi 7 network and expand its Connected Intelligence Center at Adare Manor in County Limerick. CDW has a separate role as Official IT Services Supplier and prime partner for delivering the event’s broader IT infrastructure, including deployment and management of the HPE network.
What HPE plans to provide
HPE’s October 5, 2026 announcement describes two main technology contributions: connectivity across the venue and an expanded operational intelligence center. These are plans for the 2027 event, not independently verified results from a network already deployed there.
A Wi-Fi 7 network across the venue
HPE says its Self-Driving Network will use Wi-Fi 7 to connect fans, volunteers, media, staff, event systems, and devices across the golf course, grandstands, hospitality venues, media compounds, and operations centers. The planned network footprint covers the 230-acre course. An expanded Connected Intelligence Center
HPE also plans to expand the Connected Intelligence Center it first introduced at the 2025 Ryder Cup. The center is described as bringing data, AI models, and tools into a unified operational view to help teams monitor the event, detect issues, and make decisions faster. HPE’s announcement presents more agentic, autonomous operations as an ambition; it does not establish that autonomous interventions will be delivered or demonstrate their results.

How HPE’s role differs from CDW’s
HPE is a Worldwide Supplier, contributing its network technology and the planned Connected Intelligence Center. CDW is the Official IT Services Supplier and prime IT infrastructure delivery partner. Its announced remit spans design, build, live operations, and decommissioning, and includes deploying and managing HPE’s wired and Wi-Fi 7 network. When and where is the 2027 Ryder Cup?

What scale has been announced?
HPE’s announcement gives a sense of the intended deployment’s scale, but these figures are event-stated expectations rather than completed 2027 results:

- 230 acres: the golf course footprint cited for the planned network.
- Over 250,000 on-site fans: the event’s expected attendance figure.
- Over 650 million viewers worldwide: the event announcement’s stated global reach.
The announcement does not establish that the network has already met performance targets at Adare Manor, or that these attendance and audience figures will be achieved in 2027.

What the announcement does—and does not—establish
The announcement establishes HPE’s planned supplier contribution, CDW’s broader IT services remit, and the event’s dates and location. It does not provide a final implementation architecture, detailed equipment list, or independent evidence of network performance, AI-driven issue prevention, or improved fan experience. Those outcomes can be assessed only after deployment and operation.
