HP’s US online store reportedly exposed prices for two RTX Spark laptops briefly on October 7, 2026: the OmniBook X 14 starting at $2,999.99 and the OmniBook Ultra 16 starting at $3,199.99. Those are leak-derived prices, not official HP MSRPs; HP has confirmed the laptops but has not confirmed these prices or an exact sale date.
Reported HP RTX Spark prices and configurations
Notebookcheck reported that HP’s US store briefly listed both models. The report included starting configurations and higher-tier preconfigured models:
| Model | Reported starting configuration | Reported higher-tier preconfiguration |
|---|---|---|
| HP OmniBook X 14 | $2,999.99; 18-core CPU, 5,120-core GPU, 32GB LPDDR5x-9400 unified memory, 1TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD | $4,499.99; 20-core CPU, 6,144-core GPU, 64GB memory, 2TB SSD |
| HP OmniBook Ultra 16 | $3,199.99; 18-core CPU, 5,120-core GPU, 32GB LPDDR5x-9400 unified memory, 1TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD | $4,999.99; 20-core CPU, 6,144-core GPU, 64GB memory, 2TB SSD |
These specifications and prices describe the configurations in the reported temporary listings, not a final HP price sheet. Notebookcheck also said configurations with up to 128GB unified memory appeared in the listings; the report does not establish the price of every possible configuration. Notebookcheck’s October 7 report did not provide a confirmed HP release date.

Are the leaked prices official?
No. HP’s September 4, 2026 announcement confirms the OmniBook X 14 and OmniBook Ultra 16 as Windows devices powered by NVIDIA RTX Spark, but it does not confirm the prices reported by Notebookcheck. Until HP publishes formal pricing or live purchase listings, treat all four figures above as reported store prices rather than confirmed MSRP. HP’s announcement also does not give an exact launch date for these laptops.

What RTX Spark means for these laptops
NVIDIA describes the top RTX Spark superchip as combining a 20-core Grace CPU with a Blackwell RTX GPU featuring 6,144 CUDA cores and fifth-generation Tensor Cores with FP4. The leaked lower-tier HP configurations were reported with an 18-core CPU and 5,120-core GPU, while the higher-tier configurations use the 20-core CPU and 6,144-core GPU. NVIDIA’s published top-tier specifications do not establish independent performance results for either HP laptop.
HP positions the 16-inch OmniBook Ultra 16 for AI builders, developers, creators, gamers and entrepreneurs working on complex projects, and the 14-inch OmniBook X 14 as a more portable option for creators on the move. HP says the Ultra 16 offers up to 128GB unified memory and up to 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance; those are manufacturer-stated capabilities, not independent benchmark results. NVIDIA’s platform announcement and HP’s product announcement describe positioning and specifications, not tested outcomes.

When could the HP RTX Spark laptops go on sale?
NVIDIA said RTX Spark Windows PCs would arrive in October 2026 in a September 3 update, and its June 1 announcement named ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface and MSI among manufacturers expected to offer RTX Spark laptops and compact desktops in fall 2026. That is general platform timing, not confirmation of HP’s shipping date. NVIDIA’s IFA update does not specify when either OmniBook will be available, and Notebookcheck reported that HP’s exact release timing remained unclear.
What to wait for before comparing or buying
HP still needs to confirm formal pricing, sale timing and the final specifications of each retail SKU. Until those details appear in an official or live retailer listing, the leaked prices should not be treated as purchase offers. Nor do the listings establish which configuration will be best: comparing the models requires considering display size, chip tier, memory and storage, while performance and battery-life judgments should wait for independent testing.
