WITHIN says it uses Clockify to make time spent on client deliverables and internal projects more visible across teams in the United States, Mexico, and Colombia. In the agency’s customer story, HR director Danielle Aalund describes using project organization, timers, and reports to understand workloads and support staffing decisions. The account describes qualitative benefits, not measured gains in productivity or performance branding results.
Why WITHIN wanted clearer time visibility
Clockify describes WITHIN as a performance-branding agency providing media and content services across channels from TikTok to email. Its customer story says the agency was founded in 2015 and has teams in the US, Mexico, and Colombia. The story identifies Danielle Aalund as WITHIN’s HR director. The problem described is operational: WITHIN wanted a clearer view of time spent on client deliverables and internal projects while coordinating people working across locations and time zones. Without a shared picture of where time goes, managers may find it harder to see workload patterns, distribute work, or notice inefficiencies. Clockify’s account says the company adopted time tracking to address that visibility challenge.

Projects and task-level organization
The customer story says WITHIN uses Clockify projects to organize work, including client deliverables and internal projects. That structure gives time entries a work context, so reports can distinguish different kinds of activity rather than presenting time as an undifferentiated total. Aalund said: “Being able to customize projects means our time tracking fits seamlessly with how we work, making it easier to manage workloads across our 3 offices.” The “3 offices” wording is her statement as reproduced in the vendor story; the same page describes the team footprint as the US, Mexico, and Colombia.

Timers and recorded time
Clockify’s customer story also describes timers as part of the company’s use. A timer associates recorded work time with a project or task, giving teams a basis for reviewing how time is distributed. Clockify’s agency product page says its service also supports manual time entry, but the WITHIN story does not establish that the company uses that method. Clockify’s agency page describes features beyond the specific workflow attributed to WITHIN.
Reports for workload decisions
Clockify says reports can show recorded time by project, client, team member, or date, and can be exported as PDF, Excel, or CSV files. In the customer story, Aalund connects reporting to both client and internal work: “The reporting tools give us a clear picture of how time is being used on client and internal work, which helps us make smart decisions and work more efficiently.”

Her broader description is that visibility helps managers identify patterns and adjust work distribution: “Clockify gave us the visibility we needed. We can now spot trends, optimize workloads, and fix inefficiencies we haven’t even seen before. Clockify helps us clearly see how time is being spent on different tasks, which allows us to better distribute workloads.” Clockify attributes these statements to Aalund; they are not independently measured results.

The story presents a practical rationale for time tracking in a distributed agency: organize work consistently, record time against that work, and use reports to inform conversations about workload. Aalund also describes the general experience as “a huge help for transparency and better time management overall.” This is a customer testimonial published by Clockify, not an audited case study or independent evaluation.

Clockify does not report a before-and-after comparison, quantified time savings, productivity or utilization changes, revenue growth, or any other numerical performance outcome for WITHIN. It also does not identify the Clockify plan used. The page includes a company-size band of 50–200 employees, but that is metadata in the story, not a current verified headcount. Treat the account as evidence of how WITHIN says it uses the tool, not proof that Clockify caused a particular business result.

- Planning features: If budgets, profitability analysis, or resource planning matter, confirm that the relevant Clockify capabilities and plan fit the organization. These are vendor-described features, not confirmed parts of WITHIN’s workflow.
- Existing apps: Check whether the tool connects to the systems the team already uses. Clockify lists more than 100 web app integrations, with examples including Asana, Trello, Jira, Google Calendar, QuickBooks, and Xero. For an agency considering this approach, the central question is whether consistent project and task tagging will produce information managers can act on. Tracking alone does not improve workload balance; the value depends on recording time consistently and using the resulting view to guide decisions.
