WallRush Pro is described in an iDev Games dev-log listing as a free browser-based Quoridor game with one-on-one and four-player play, rooms, and AI. That listing does not provide the article’s full build account, so the available sources do not establish how the game was programmed or what technology it uses. They do, however, offer a useful overview of the game’s advertised formats and, on a separately branded WallRush rules page, how Quoridor is played.

What the available account says about WallRush Pro

The iDev Games dev-log index lists “How We Built WallRush Pro: Free Online Quoridor in the Browser.” Its description reads: “WallRush Pro is a free browser Quoridor game — 1v1, 4-player, rooms & AI. Play at wallrushpro.online.” This is listing copy, not a full technical account or independent verification of the features.

The iDev Games tutorial index also lists a beginner guide to playing Quoridor online with WallRush Pro and a tutorial about practicing against its AI. The listings do not expose the tutorials’ full contents. iDev Games describes its own platform as offering game publishing and embedding services, including free HTML5 game publishing and embed codes; that is distribution context, not evidence that WallRush Pro was built or published with a particular iDev Games tool.

What is not documented about the build

The accessible material does not identify the developer or explain the implementation. It gives no confirmed programming language, framework, game engine, networking stack, room protocol, matchmaking design, AI method, development timeline, accessibility work, testing process, or performance results. Describing any of those as part of WallRush Pro’s build would go beyond what the listing establishes.

There is also a naming distinction: the dev-log listing calls the game “WallRush Pro,” while the rules page discussed below is branded “WallRush.” The available material does not confirm that both refer to the same product. The rules and modes on that page should therefore be attributed to WallRush, rather than treated as verified WallRush Pro specifications.

How to play Quoridor in the browser

The separately branded WallRush rules page describes its game as free online Quoridor, playable in a browser without signup, with one-on-one and four-player play. It outlines three formats:

Quoridor Pac-Man Strategy Board Game | Officially Licensed Maze Chase & Wall-Blocking Game | from the Makers of Award-Winning Quoridor | Family Game Night | Ages 8+ | 2-5 Players | 15 Min
  • OFFICIALLY LICENSED PAC-MAN BOARD GAME : race through a maze as Pac-Man or the ghosts in a strategy game built around the arcade icon every generation recognizes on sight.
  • THE AWARD-WINNING QUORIDOR MECHANIC, PAC-MAN THEMED : built on Quoridor, the Mensa Select-winning wall-blocking strategy game with over 1 million sold; block your opponents' path while racing to the exit.
  • REAL STRATEGY, EASY TO LEARN : 1 minute to learn, 15 minutes to play; an abstract strategy game disguised as a maze chase, with enough depth that adults want to play again.
  • BUILT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY : 2 to 5 players, ages 8 and up, so kids and adults compete on equal footing at family game night.

Mode Players and board Walls Goal
Duel Two players on a 9×9 board Ten per player Reach the opposite side
Race Two players on a 9×13 board Ten or fifteen per player Reach the opposite side
Four at a table Four players on an 11×11 board Seven per player Reach the central golden cell

These are the configurations stated on the WallRush rules page; the page may change its rules. The core turn is a choice: move one square or place a wall, but not both. A wall can slow an opponent, but it cannot eliminate every route to that opponent’s goal.

Movement and wall placement

  • Players move one square on their turn or place one wall.
  • Walls cannot be jumped. When player pieces are adjacent, a player may jump over the other; if a wall or the board edge blocks the straight jump, the rules allow a diagonal jump instead.
  • A wall placement is illegal if it leaves an opponent with no route to their goal.

This creates the central tactical trade-off: use a turn to advance, or spend it to redirect another player while preserving a legal path across the board.

Which games affect points?

The WallRush rules page says games with a friend by code and AI practice do not affect points, while games in public rooms do. It also describes move clocks, game clocks, points, ranks, daily caps, rematch reductions, and streak rules. Those are site-specific rules, not universal Quoridor rules, and the page may revise them.

What this means for readers looking for the build story

The indexed title promises a build account, but its available description supports only a high-level product summary. Readers can learn that the listing presents WallRush Pro as free, browser-based Quoridor with one-on-one, four-player, room, and AI options; the retrieved material does not substantiate the engineering decisions behind those features. Likewise, the WallRush rules page is useful for understanding a separately described online Quoridor implementation, but it should not be used to fill in WallRush Pro’s undocumented details.
