Tokyo’s current exhibition with “Suikoden” in its title is SUIKODEN The Water Margin: Outlaws of the Marsh, at Tokyo Station Gallery through November 8, 2026. It explores the Water Margin’s influence on Chinese and Japanese art; it is not the Suikoden video-game series’ 30th-anniversary exhibition. KONAMI identifies that separate anniversary display as part of Tokyo Game Show 2026, but its visitor dates and location details are not established here. Tokyo Station Gallery’s exhibition page and KONAMI’s Tokyo Game Show information describe the two events.

How to get to Tokyo Station Gallery
The gallery is just outside the JR Tokyo Station ticket gates at the Marunouchi North Exit. Its official directions estimate about three minutes on foot from Tokyo Metro Tokyo Station, five minutes from Otemachi Station on the Tozai Line, and seven minutes from Nijubashimae Station on the Chiyoda Line. The gallery’s access page provides directions.
- At Tokyo Metro Tokyo Station, follow signs for the Marunouchi North Exit and Exit M12.
- Enter the JR station’s Marunouchi North Dome.
- Find the gallery entrance on your left, just outside the ticket gates.
Tickets, prices and entry
Tickets are sold online through E-TIX and at the gallery entrance. An online ticket is not tied to a particular date: it admits one person for one visit during the exhibition run. Display its QR code on your smartphone or print it at home. E-TIX says completed purchases cannot be canceled. Advance prices were available only through September 18, 2026, so the current listed adult and student rates are 1,600 yen and 1,100 yen respectively. See the ticket and exhibition page for current details.

Using the optional audio guide
The audio guide costs 700 yen. You need a smartphone and must bring your own earphones; the gallery does not rent listening devices. Tokyo Station Gallery says, “Please use your own earphones at the venue. Devices are not available for rent on-site.” The gallery does not specify an earphone connector, so check that your earphones work with your phone before visiting. Audio-guide details are on the exhibition page.
What the exhibition covers
The show traces how The Water Margin, a Chinese literary classic, was interpreted in art. Its scope includes Chinese art from the Northern Song through Qing dynasties and Japanese art from the Edo period to the present, with ukiyo-e prints, printed books and other works. It follows the story’s reception in Japan, including an illustrated edition by Kyokutei Bakin and Katsushika Hokusai and later depictions by Utagawa Kuniyoshi. The gallery’s overview says the exhibition presents all 74 identified prints in Kuniyoshi’s One Hundred and Eight Heroes of the Popular Water Margin series. Some works rotate during the run, and exhibition details may change.

The gallery page also reports that Kenzo Kitakata’s Suikoden novel series has cumulative print exceeding 11.6 million copies. It does not give the date for that figure, so it should be understood as a number reported on the gallery page, not a current sales tally. Costumes from the television adaptation of the novels are included in the exhibition.

The title can lead to two different events being confused. Tokyo Station Gallery’s current exhibition concerns the Water Margin’s artistic history and includes material related to the Kitakata television adaptation. KONAMI separately describes a Suikoden series 30th-anniversary display at Tokyo Game Show 2026. The available KONAMI information does not establish that display’s visitor dates, Tokyo address or access arrangements, so do not rely on the gallery’s location or schedule for it. Check KONAMI’s TGS information for any event-specific announcements.
