Galaxy S25’s Sketch to Image can turn a drawing, a text prompt, or a photo into AI-generated imagery. Samsung lists six styles—watercolor, illustration, pop art, sketch, 3D cartoon, and oil painting—and says you can preview styles before choosing. Here’s how to use it and what to know about its requirements and saved images.
What changed in Sketch to Image for Galaxy S25?
Samsung Electronics Indonesia described the Galaxy S25 series’ expanded feature as supporting three kinds of input: sketches, text descriptions, and photos. A sketch can be developed into an image, a text description can generate an image, and a photo can be turned into a sketch-style result. Samsung’s earlier One UI 7 announcement also mentioned voice commands as an input for Drawing Assist, but that broader description does not establish that voice input appears in every region or software build.
The Indonesia announcement lists six output styles: watercolor, illustration, pop art, sketch, 3D cartoon, and oil painting. Samsung says users can preview styles before selecting one. These are Samsung’s announced capabilities; the available choices and interface may differ by software version or region.

- Open the photo in Gallery.
- Tap the Galaxy AI icon, then select Sketch to Image.
- Draw on the image with your finger or, on compatible devices, an S Pen.
- Tap Generate.
- Swipe through the generated options.
- Choose an option and save a copy.
The steps above reflect Samsung’s One UI 8 guide. Menu labels or paths can vary across software versions and regions. Samsung says feature information and settings are available under Settings > Galaxy AI.

- Text to image: Open Drawing Assist from the Edge Panel, enter a text description, choose a style, and generate.
- Photo to sketch: Open Drawing Assist from the Edge Panel, attach a photo, choose a style, and generate.
These are the paths in Samsung’s Indonesia instructions; do not assume they match the Gallery workflow or appear identically on every S25 build.

- Internet and Samsung Account: Samsung’s US guide says both a network connection and Samsung Account login are required.
- Photo size: The guide says editing may resize a photo up to 12MP.
- AI label: Samsung says a visible watermark is overlaid on saved output to identify AI-generated imagery.
- Reliability: Samsung does not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of generated results.
The guide’s mention of an S Pen applies only to compatible devices. These materials do not establish S Pen compatibility for every Galaxy S25 model. Samsung’s announcements and guide describe the feature but do not provide independent comparisons of output quality, generation speed, or error rates.
