Sign in to the warehouse club’s website or app, set your delivery address or ZIP code, then select a fulfillment option shown for your items. Membership does not make shipping, pickup, local delivery and third-party delivery interchangeable: each can have different coverage, prices, fees, minimums and rewards rules. Costco and Sam’s Club illustrate why it is worth checking the complete order in checkout before paying.
Start with your account and destination
- Open the club’s official website or app and sign in. Use the account associated with your membership to see member pricing and services.
- Enter your shipping address or delivery ZIP code before shopping. Availability can depend on the destination, the participating club serving it and item-level restrictions.
- Check which fulfillment choices appear for each item. Choose only among the options offered for that product and destination; do not assume the entire catalog is eligible for delivery or pickup.
- Review the cart and checkout details. Confirm item prices, shipping or delivery charges, order minimums, timing, any separate checkout and the rewards terms that apply.
Know which Costco fulfillment route you are using
Costco has distinct online routes, and an item’s route affects its price, delivery arrangements and checkout. Costco Same-Day Delivery is the local grocery service powered by Instacart; CostcoGrocery 2-Day Delivery and Costco.com shipping have separate arrangements.
Costco.com shipping
Most Costco.com items use standard shipping. Express shipping and handling charges, when available, are quoted at checkout. Freight items may use appointment-based or other delivery arrangements, so read the delivery details on the item page and in the order flow.

CostcoGrocery 2-Day Delivery
Costco lists this as a separate grocery service rather than treating it as the same cart as local Same-Day Delivery. Its FAQ describes nationwide availability with geographic exceptions and separate pricing and checkout details. Check the destination and cart before assuming an item can be combined with other Costco purchases.

Costco Same-Day Delivery powered by Instacart
This local, grocery-oriented service is available to Costco members where the address is covered, and eligible products vary by location. Costco states a $35 minimum order for Same-Day Delivery. Its item prices are higher than local warehouse prices; Costco says Executive Rewards apply to the original warehouse sell price before that markup. Delivery may be same day, next day or on a selected day, depending on the service options shown.
Costco says Same-Day items cannot be purchased in the same transaction as Costco.com items. Its grocery FAQ explains which carts can be checked out together, so follow the checkout flow rather than assuming products from different routes will combine. Costco also describes eligible card rewards; check current terms for the card and order before counting on a reward.

Shipping
Shipping charges and any membership benefits depend on the order and applicable terms.
