To keep using a favorite weapon as you find stronger gear, take the weapon you own to the Blacksmith to raise its power, then manage its enchantments separately with the Enchantsmith. The Blacksmith handles equipment power; the Enchantsmith applies and levels effects from your enchantment library.
Which vendor upgrades a weapon?

These are separate systems: a Blacksmith power upgrade is not the same as changing or leveling an enchantment. The official sources do not establish that rerolling a built-in buff preserves every other item property, so treat that as a separate optional change.
How to raise your weapon’s power
- Keep the weapon you want to continue using in your owned equipment.
- Visit the Blacksmith and select the weapon for an equipment power upgrade.
- Review the live game prompt and pay the displayed fee to raise it to the highest power level currently available to you.
The official material does not specify an exact currency amount, power cap, unlock requirement, or click-by-click menu sequence. Follow the current in-game prompts for those details.

- Find Enchantment Books during your adventure. Their unique enchantments are added to your personal library.
- Visit the Enchantsmith and choose the gear slot where you want an effect applied.
- Select an enchantment available in your library. The Enchantsmith can also help level enchantments over time.
The enchantment library is the source for effects applied through the Enchantsmith; the Blacksmith’s power upgrade is a separate service. Exact costs and unlock steps are not stated in the official sources, so check the game’s current vendor prompts.

Built-in buffs and enchantments are different
A built-in buff belongs to the item, while an enchantment is selected from your personal library and applied through the Enchantsmith. Xbox Wire’s Gamescom hands-on report describes the Blacksmith as able to reroll a built-in buff; that is optional and distinct from applying an enchantment. No guarantee is established about what other item properties remain unchanged after a reroll.
Availability and version notes
Minecraft Dungeons II launched on September 29, 2026. Minecraft’s launch announcement lists Steam, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. The official pages describing these mechanics do not identify a patch number, so interface wording and details may change; use the live game prompts for patch-specific steps.
