If your organization’s D‑U‑N‑S number changed, you generally cannot edit it on the existing Google payments profile used for developer identity. The account owner needs to create or select a payments profile containing the new number, complete any requested verification, and link that profile to the Play Console developer account. Google’s current instructions are in Update developer identity details managed by a Google payments profile.
Before you start: confirm which details changed
This process is for organization developer accounts. Personal developer identity updates follow a different process. Also distinguish a D‑U‑N‑S number change from a business name or address change: the required steps are not identical.
- D‑U‑N‑S number changed: Create or select a different identity payments profile with the new number, then verify and link it.
- Organization name or address changed: First make sure the associated Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) profile reflects the updated information. Google says organization details are tied to that profile and may trigger a later re-verification request. See Keeping your developer account information up to date.
Google says applying for a D‑U‑N‑S number through Dun & Bradstreet is free. You do not need to assume a paid intermediary is required; see Required information to create a Play Console developer account.
Update the D‑U‑N‑S number in Play Console
The account owner must complete this identity update. Have the organization’s updated information ready, and follow the steps in order:

- Sign in to Google Play Console with the account owner account.
- Open Developer account > About you, then choose Update details or Update organization details. The exact label may vary in the current interface.
- Choose Create or Select payments profile. Create a profile with the updated D‑U‑N‑S number, or select an already updated profile if one is available.
- Complete any identity verification Google requests. The Account details page shows progress, requested actions, and where to upload documents. Google says it sends the review outcome by email.
- Return to About you and link the verified profile to the developer account.
- Select Confirm and save to finish.
Creating or verifying the payments profile alone does not complete the change: it must be linked to the developer account. Google’s step-by-step guidance is in Update developer identity details managed by a Google payments profile.
Make sure you are changing the identity profile
Google Play may use a payments profile for developer identity verification and another for receiving earnings. They may be the same profile or separate profiles. Check the identity profile shown under Developer account > About you before making changes; do not assume the merchant or earnings profile establishes your organization’s legal identity.

The organization name, address, and D‑U‑N‑S shown in Play Console’s organization details are read-only there and come from the Google payments profile. For details, see View and manage your developer account information.

If your name or address changed too
Update the organization information with Dun & Bradstreet so it matches the details associated with your developer account. Google may send a re-verification notice by email and show it in Play Console. For an organization name or address change, some same-country changes to the existing payments profile may be available; a changed D‑U‑N‑S number, however, requires the new-profile flow described above.

If Google identifies a mismatch between the organization information and its verification records, the account owner may see a Play Console banner and receive an email with a deadline. Resolve the issue by the date shown in your account. Google warns that an unresolved mismatch can lead to account restriction and app removal. If the D‑U‑N‑S change cannot be resolved through the profile flow, contact Google Play Support as directed on its developer account requirements page.
Google’s instructions do not establish a guaranteed review time or a particular support outcome, so use the status and deadline displayed in your own account rather than assuming a fixed processing period.
