Earn Mon by completing Most Wanted runs, then spend it on character unlocks between runs. Jin Sakai is one of the mode’s four playable characters, but the official sources do not publish his exact Mon cost, a required number of runs, or a fixed unlock order. Check the in-game character screen for the current cost.
Unlock Jin with Mon between runs
- Open Most Wanted. It is included with Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition. Existing owners of the base game should check the PlayStation Store in their region for the Complete Edition Upgrade and its current terms.
- Choose a bounty from the bounty board. Each run sends you through enemy waves and minibosses, with difficulty increasing as you progress.
- Complete runs to earn Mon. You can earn perks during a run, while Mon is spent between runs on techniques, weapon upgrades, charms, and character unlocks.
- Check the character options between runs and unlock Jin when available. The menu is the place to confirm his current Mon cost; official materials do not establish a specific price or required bounty.
PlayStation’s September 3, 2026 announcement describes earning Mon during play and spending it outside runs on character unlocks.

Who is playable, and what does Jin use?
The four Most Wanted characters are Atsu, Oyuki, Nagato, and Jin. Atsu is the default starting character; the others become available as players complete runs. Jin uses his katana with all four original Ghost of Tsushima stances. His starting equipment includes a Sticky Bomb and hankyu (short bow); his Ultimate is Dance of Wrath, and his Kill Streak is Ghost Stance.

Most Wanted is a single-player roguelike combat-survival mode. You select an escalating bounty, fight enemy waves and minibosses, and build your character with perks during the run. Cosmetics earned in the mode also unlock for use in the main game.
Do you need a particular bounty or number of runs?
The official Ghost of Yōtei page and the developer-authored PlayStation Blog announcement explain the Mon-based unlock system, but do not specify Jin’s exact price, a required run count, or a fixed character unlock order. Complete runs to earn Mon, then use the in-game character screen to see what is currently available and what it costs. Do not treat Sakai Armor as a prerequisite: it is a cosmetic offer for Atsu, not Jin’s character unlock.

Do you have access to Most Wanted?
The mode is included in Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition. For players who already own the base game, PlayStation announced a Complete Edition Upgrade. That September 3, 2026 announcement listed a US price of $14.99 and said patch v2.0 timing was October 1 globally and October 2 in some territories. Those are dated, region-dependent details, so check the current PlayStation Store listing for local availability, price, and included content. The announcement’s pre-order offer for Sakai Armor for Atsu ended September 30; it was not a requirement to unlock Jin.
