Samsung phones do not have Apple’s AirDrop feature or an AirDrop switch. On supported Galaxy phones, the equivalent way to exchange files with nearby Apple devices is Quick Share’s Share with Apple devices setting. Samsung’s current guidance identifies the Galaxy S26 series as supported, subject to regional availability and change.
Check compatibility before you start
Samsung’s India support guidance, current as of March 2026, says Share with Apple devices is supported on the Galaxy S26 series. Samsung says expansion to selected flagship models is planned, but does not establish a wider current rollout. Availability and timing may vary by market, so check the support page for your region and look for the setting on your exact phone.
The India guidance specifies Quick Share app version 13.8.51.27 or later and Google Play services version 26.11.xx or later. Samsung Australia’s instructions apply to Australian Galaxy variants and identify the Galaxy S26 with One UI 8.5 or later. Menu names and availability can differ by region or software version.

Samsung lists these compatible Apple devices:
- iPhone 8 or later
- iPad (5th generation) or later
- MacBook (2020 or later)
Send a file from Samsung to an Apple device
- Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the Galaxy phone.
- Open Settings > Connected devices > Quick Share, then turn on Share with Apple devices.
- On the Apple recipient, open Settings > General > AirDrop and select Everyone (10 minutes only) so the Galaxy can find it.
- On the Galaxy, open Gallery or My Files, select the item, then tap Share > Quick Share.
- Choose the Apple device from the available recipients. The recipient must accept the transfer.
Receive a file from an Apple device on Samsung
- On the Galaxy, open Quick Share settings and, under Who can share with you, choose Everyone (10 minutes only).
- On the Apple device, select the file, tap Share > AirDrop, and choose the Galaxy phone.
- Accept the incoming transfer on the Galaxy.
If the devices cannot find each other
- Check that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled on both devices, and confirm that the receiving device’s visibility setting is correct.
- Samsung notes that Wi-Fi may turn off automatically when connecting to Apple devices. Discovery may also be unavailable while Mobile Hotspot or some Wi-Fi-dependent features are in use.
- If the devices still do not appear, connect to a network, restart the device, and try again, as Samsung recommends.
- If the Share with Apple devices switch is missing, verify that the Galaxy model, software and app versions meet Samsung’s current regional requirements. The feature is not a universal AirDrop toggle for Samsung phones.
