To turn off Wi-Fi Calling on a Samsung Galaxy, open Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi Calling and tap the switch. If that menu is missing, check the Phone app’s call settings or Quick Settings; the available route varies by phone, carrier, and software version.
Turn off Wi-Fi Calling in Settings
- Open Settings.
- Tap Connections.
- Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
- Tap the switch to turn the feature off. Samsung U.S. Support says, “To turn Wi-Fi Calling off, just tap the switch again.” See Samsung’s Galaxy Wi-Fi Calling instructions.
This setting controls Wi-Fi Calling, not the phone’s general Wi-Fi connection. You do not need to switch off Wi-Fi itself.
If the Wi-Fi Calling setting is not there
Check the Phone app settings
Open the Phone app, tap More options (the three vertical dots), tap Settings, then look for Wi-Fi calling. Samsung Canada documents this alternate route in its Galaxy call-settings guide.

Look for a Quick Settings tile
On some Galaxy phones, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the Wi-Fi Calling tile to toggle the feature. Check the screen afterward to confirm its state; Samsung notes that this shortcut is not available on every phone. Samsung U.S. Support

Why the switch may be missing
Wi-Fi Calling availability and menu layout depend on the carrier, Galaxy device, and software version. Samsung says the feature may not be available on every carrier or device, and its support instructions describe different access routes rather than one screen shared by all models. If neither Settings, Phone settings, nor Quick Settings shows the control, contact your carrier or Samsung Support and provide your exact model, region, carrier, and software version.
Wi-Fi Calling lets a phone make calls over Wi-Fi when cellular service is limited or unavailable. Turning off its switch disables that feature; it is not an instruction to disable the SIM or eSIM, cancel carrier service, turn off cellular calling, or use airplane mode.
