To turn Memory on or off for your own account, sign in to the AI All-Access Pack in Bluehost Portal and open More > Settings > Memory, then use the Enable Memory toggle. On Standard, that toggle is yours to change. On Secure Plan (Privacy+), an organization administrator has to make Memory available first, and Memory cannot run at the same time as Chat Sanitization.

Who controls Memory on your plan

Which steps apply to you depends on the plan the pack runs under. The settings below come from Bluehost’s Help article on Memory, last updated September 23, 2026, and from Bluehost’s product update dated September 8, 2026.

Item Standard Plan Secure Plan (Privacy+)
Default state of Memory Enabled by default Off until an administrator enables it for the organization
Who changes the setting Each user, in personal settings An administrator turns it on for the organization; individual users can then turn it off for themselves
Where the control lives More > Settings > Memory Administrator: Admin Console > Admin Settings > General > Memory. Users: More > Settings > Memory
Chat Sanitization Not described by Bluehost as conflicting with Memory Cannot be on together with Memory; the organization chooses one
Verification PIN Not required, according to Bluehost May be requested when signing in to the pack

Turn Memory on or off on Standard Plan

  1. Log in to Bluehost Portal.
  2. Under AI Agents, select AI All-Access Pack.
  3. Select Sign In. Enter a Verification PIN only if the page asks for one.
  4. In the lower-left corner, select More, then Settings.
  5. Select Memory.
  6. Under Enable Memory, switch the toggle on or off.

The change applies to your account only. Other users on a Standard setup are not affected by your toggle.

Enable Memory for an organization on Secure Plan

On Secure Plan, the steps depend on your role. Only an administrator can make Memory available to the organization.

  1. Sign in to Bluehost Portal with an administrator account and open the AI All-Access Pack.
  2. Sign in to the pack and enter a Verification PIN if prompted.
  3. Open Admin Console > Admin Settings > General.
  4. Find Memory and toggle it on.
  5. When the prompt appears, turn off Chat Sanitization. Enabling Memory is not possible until this is done.

After the administrator enables Memory, Bluehost says it is on by default for all organizational users. Each user can then switch it off in More > Settings > Memory. Administrators can turn organization-wide availability on or off, but Bluehost says they cannot browse, review, or delete individual memories through these controls.

If you are a regular user on Secure Plan and the Memory toggle is missing or locked, the administrator has most likely not enabled Memory for the organization yet. Ask the administrator to check the General settings above.

Choosing between Memory and Chat Sanitization on Secure Plan

On Secure Plan, the organization must decide which feature it wants. If sanitization is the priority, Memory stays off. If Memory is the priority, Chat Sanitization has to be turned off first. The choice is an organization-level decision, so individual users cannot combine the two on their own accounts.

Bluehost states that encryption in transit and at rest, along with its stated zero-data-retention agreements with third-party large language model providers, remain in effect on Secure Plan. These are Bluehost’s own statements in its Help documentation. They have not been independently verified, so treat them as Bluehost’s claims rather than guarantees.

Turning Memory off does not delete saved memories

Switching Memory off and deleting memories are separate actions, and they do different things:

  • Turning Memory off stops the assistant from saving new details and stops it from referring to memories it already holds.
  • Existing entries stay stored until you delete them. They remain subject to Bluehost’s data-retention timelines.
  • Deleting memories removes entries from the assistant’s saved context. It does not, by itself, establish that the underlying conversation data has been removed. Bluehost says retention is governed by its Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement (DPA).

Delete saved memories

  1. Open Settings > Memory in the AI All-Access Pack.
  2. Select Manage Memory.
  3. To remove everything, open the three-dot menu and choose the option to delete all memories.
  4. To remove one entry, select the trash icon next to that memory.

Import and export of saved context

Bluehost documents two related features in a separate Help article, also updated September 23, 2026. You do not need either one to switch Memory off.

  • Import is available under Settings > Memory. Bluehost says it rolled out on August 24, 2026, and is available on Standard and Secure plans.
  • Export is under Settings > General. Bluehost says the file is sent to the email address registered on the account as a downloadable file.

Use export before deleting memories if you want a copy of your saved context. Bluehost’s product update lists Chat Memory as rolling out on August 21, 2026.

If the labels on your screen are different

This guide follows Bluehost’s published documentation rather than a live customer account, and Bluehost can change menu labels and plan behavior. If you cannot find an item by the name given here, look for the closest match under Settings, and check Bluehost’s Help article for the current wording before you rely on it.
