The easiest way to transfer Pocket 3 videos to a phone is with DJI Mimo: connect the camera, open its album or playback view, select the clips, and download them. For a cable-based option, use direct USB OTG if your phone supports it; for a batch of files, you can remove the camera’s microSD card and use a compatible card reader.

Download videos with DJI Mimo
- Turn on the Osmo Pocket 3. Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your phone.
- Open DJI Mimo and connect to the camera. If the app asks you to join the camera’s Wi-Fi network, follow its prompt.
- Open Album, or tap the camera icon and choose Playback.
- To download one clip, open it and tap the Download icon. To download several, tap Select, choose the clips, and tap Download. DJI export guide DJI FAQ

Transfer directly over USB OTG
For a wired transfer outside the ordinary wireless route, DJI says to select OTG connection in the Pocket 3’s system settings and connect an OTG-supported phone with a USB-C to USB-C cable. Phone compatibility and operating-system behavior differ, so follow any USB file-access prompt shown by the phone. DJI FAQ DJI OTG instructions
For an iPhone with a Lightning port
DJI’s OTG instructions specify a Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter powered by an external USB power adapter. DJI documents two supported connection sequences; follow the current guide’s sequence rather than improvising the order. DJI OTG instructions

Copy videos with a microSD card reader
The Pocket 3 records footage to a microSD card, not built-in storage. DJI’s A Beginner’s Guide to Osmo Pocket 3 states: “Osmo Pocket 3 does not have built-in storage and requires a microSD card for storing captured footage.” DJI beginner’s guide
To copy files this way, remove the card, connect it to a reader supported by your phone, and use the phone’s file manager to copy the videos. DJI recommends a card reader for quickly exporting multiple files, but a reader is optional if Mimo meets your needs. Check your phone’s connector and file-access support before buying a reader. DJI recommends a microSD card rated at least UHS-I Speed Grade 3 for optimal transfer speed. That recommendation concerns the card; it does not mean you need to buy another card to transfer footage already stored on yours. DJI beginner’s guide
Troubleshoot a failed connection or export
- Mimo cannot connect: Check that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on the phone. Restart the camera and app, then try again. DJI FAQ
- The camera’s Wi-Fi password changed: Toggle Wi-Fi off and back on on the phone, then retry the connection. DJI FAQ
- The phone cannot use 5.8 GHz Wi-Fi: If the phone does not support that band, or it is unavailable where you are, change the Pocket 3’s Wi-Fi frequency to 2.4 GHz in the camera’s Wireless Connection settings. DJI FAQ
- USB transfer does not appear: Confirm that OTG is enabled on the camera and that the phone supports OTG. Respond to any phone prompt about USB access or file transfer. DJI FAQ DJI OTG instructions
- A long recording appears as multiple files: DJI says the camera automatically splits a recording as it approaches 16 GB and that this does not damage quality. DJI FAQ
Which method should you use?
Start with Mimo for the standard app-based workflow. Choose OTG if you prefer a cable and your phone supports the required connection. A card reader is a useful optional choice when you want to export multiple clips, but DJI does not publish a universal time comparison proving one method is always fastest.
