Start the OPPO A7 Pro 5G’s first-time setup and use its on-screen option to copy apps and data from another device. Choose Android or iPhone/iPad to match your old phone, then follow the prompts shown on the A7 Pro. The steps below are general Android setup guidance, not a confirmed, model-specific A7 Pro menu sequence.
Before you transfer
- Charge both phones and make sure you can unlock the old phone.
- Connect to Wi-Fi and check that the A7 Pro has enough free storage for the content you want to move.
- Keep the old phone available. Some content may not transfer, so do not erase or trade it in until you have checked the new phone.
Google’s Android setup guidance recommends charging and unlocking the source phone and notes that steps can vary by device. OPPO’s accessible support information does not confirm the A7 Pro’s exact Clone Phone screens or supported data categories, so use the A7 Pro’s setup prompts rather than relying on an unverified button name.
Transfer from an Android phone
- Turn on the A7 Pro and begin its initial setup.
- When prompted to copy apps and data, choose the option for an Android device.
- Connect or pair the phones as directed on the A7 Pro. Google’s general Android-to-Android setup supports wired and wireless routes; the available options and prompts depend on the devices.
- Unlock the old phone, choose the apps and data you want to copy when prompted, and follow setup until it finishes.
Google says the wired and wireless Android setup options support the same data categories in its general guidance, but that does not mean every item or app’s private data will be copied. Confirm important content on the A7 Pro before removing anything from the old phone.

Transfer from an iPhone
- Start the A7 Pro’s initial setup and choose the option to copy apps and data.
- When asked for the source-device type, choose iPhone or iPad.
- Follow the connection and transfer prompts displayed on the A7 Pro. Cable or wireless choices, if offered, and the categories that move depend on the devices and setup conditions.
Google’s Android setup instructions describe choosing iPhone or iPad as the source, but OPPO’s exact A7 Pro sequence was not independently confirmed. If the screen options differ, follow the A7 Pro’s instructions or contact local OPPO support.

Do not confuse this with Google’s Move to iOS process. Move to iOS is for moving from Android to a new iPhone: it is not the app or workflow for moving from an iPhone to the A7 Pro.
What may not transfer
Google warns that Android setup copying can omit some content. Check the A7 Pro for these items in particular:

- Downloads such as PDF files and media in hidden folders.
- Apps that are not available through Google Play and app data that Android backup does not support.
- Non-Google accounts and their data, plus contacts or calendars synced through other services.
- Ringtones and some device settings.
For anything missing, use the original app or service’s own export, sync, or restore option where available. The supported content can differ by app and account; do not assume a successful phone setup copied every app’s data.

For photo transfers between OPPO devices and an iPhone or Mac, OPPO lists O+ Connect as a separate option. OPPO’s A7 Pro product page states that O+ Connect requires ColorOS 16.0 or later, iOS 15.0 or later, or macOS 10.14 or later, as applicable. The devices must be connected manually; one-tap quick transfer is not supported. OPPO also says feature availability may vary by country or region, service provider, network environment, and product model.

OPPO describes this as a photo-transfer feature, not a guaranteed way to migrate all phone data. Check the app’s availability and compatibility for your devices before relying on it.

- On the A7 Pro, open important contacts, messages, photos, videos, and essential apps.
- Sign in to accounts and confirm the information you need is present or can be restored.
- Only after those checks pass, use the old phone maker’s or carrier’s secure erase process before trade-in, recycling, or giving the phone away. Google likewise advises clearing the old device only after confirming the data copied.
OPPO announced the A7 Pro 5G on 28 September 2026 for the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait. That announcement’s availability applies to those stated markets and does not establish availability elsewhere; transfer features may also vary by region.
