For an Android-to-Infinix move, use the new phone’s on-screen copy apps and data option during setup. Choose cable or wireless transfer and follow the prompts. If setup is over or the old phone is unavailable, restore a Google Account backup; on some Infinix models, Phone Cloner may also be available. Apps, photos, and contacts do not all transfer in the same way, so keep the old phone until you have checked the new one.
Choose the transfer method that fits your situation

These routes are not interchangeable: each depends on what is stored on the old phone, which features it supports, and whether the data was backed up. Infinix says service availability and content can vary by device and software version in its Terms of Use.
Transfer directly during Infinix setup
Before you begin
- Charge both phones and keep them nearby and unlocked when prompted.
- Connect them to Wi-Fi if available, and make sure the new Infinix has enough free storage for the content you plan to move.
- If transferring by cable, check that it fits both phones and supports data. Google notes that an adapter may be needed if the cable does not fit both devices. Wireless transfer is also available.
- Keep the old phone on hand throughout setup. Google’s general Android guidance says transfer may take from a few minutes to over an hour, depending on how much data is being moved; this is not a model-specific estimate for Infinix.
Copy apps and data
- Turn on the new Infinix and begin its Android setup.
- When asked whether to copy apps and data, choose the option to copy from another device. Wording and screens can differ by Android and XOS version.
- Choose a cable or wireless connection and follow the instructions shown on both phones. If using a cable, connect the phones when prompted; if wireless, follow the pairing steps on screen.
- Select the content categories offered, then leave both devices connected while the transfer runs.
- Complete setup and sign in to the Google Account used on the old phone if prompted, so account-synced information can become available.
Google lists apps and certain app data, music, photos, videos, phone and SIM contacts, text messages, and some settings among content that may copy through Android setup. Its instructions also identify items that may not copy, including downloads such as PDFs, media in hidden folders, apps not from Google Play, and data from apps that do not use Android backup. Check whether your Infinix has Phone Cloner
Phone Cloner is an Infinix-specific option to look for, not a feature established for every Infinix phone. Infinix’s ZERO X Pro page lists it under XOS 7.6 and describes transferring photos, files, and contacts without cellular data expense. The page does not provide a current compatibility list or a universal workflow.

- On the new phone, look through its installed apps or setup screens for Phone Cloner.
- If it is present, open it and follow the instructions displayed by your Infinix. Use the old phone as directed by the app.
- Review the available content choices and confirm the transfer on both phones as prompted.
If you do not find the app, use Android’s built-in setup copy or Google Account restore instead. The feature and its content can vary by model and software version, as Infinix’s Terms of Use note.
Restore data from a Google Account backup
A Google backup is useful when you did not complete direct copying or the old phone is not available. On the new Infinix, sign in with the Google Account used to back up the old Android phone, then choose the available backup when Android offers restore during setup. Check the old phone’s backup status and account first if you still have access to it.

- Google says Android backups can include apps and app data, call history, contacts, device settings, and SMS/MMS.
- Photos and videos are backed up when Google Photos is used; sign in to the same account and check Google Photos for backed-up images.
- Not all apps can back up or restore all settings and data, so verify important apps individually.
- Google says a restore can take up to 24 hours. It also says a backup from a higher Android version cannot be restored to a phone running a lower Android version.

Contacts may be synced to a Google Account, saved locally on the old phone, or stored on its SIM card. If they are in your Google Account, signing in to that account on the Infinix syncs them. If they are local or on the SIM, check whether Android setup copied them; otherwise, use the phone’s contact import or transfer options.

Do not assume that a successful transfer means every file or app is ready to use. Manually move important downloads and media that were not included, and follow each app’s own transfer or recovery instructions for content such as chats, authenticator accounts, or banking access. Apps may need a fresh sign-in even if they were copied or reinstalled.

- Open Contacts and check that expected names and numbers are present.
- Open Google Photos or the photo app you use and confirm important albums and recent images are accessible.
- Open essential apps and confirm that accounts, messages, and any app-specific data you need are available.
- Check files and downloads, including any content held in hidden folders or other storage locations.
Only erase, reset, or trade in the old phone after those checks are complete and you have recovered access to the accounts and files that matter.
