To move Apple Cash to a bank account, open Wallet on your iPhone, tap your Apple Cash card, then tap More > Transfer to Bank. Choose 1–3 Business Days for a bank transfer with no Apple transfer fee, or choose Instant Transfer to send it to an eligible U.S.-issued debit card for a 1.7% fee. Instant transfers are usually immediate, but can take longer.

Apple displays the Instant Transfer fee before you confirm. The fee is deducted from the transfer, so the amount that arrives is lower by that fee.
Transfer Apple Cash from an iPhone
- Open Wallet and tap your Apple Cash card.
- Tap More, then tap Transfer to Bank.
- Enter the amount and tap Continue.
- Choose 1–3 Business Days for a bank account, or Instant Transfer for an eligible debit card.
- Confirm with the side button, then authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.
Transfer from an iPad
On an iPad, open Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay, tap the Apple Cash card, and follow the transfer steps shown on screen.
Set up or choose a bank account
For a bank transfer, select 1–3 Business Days. If no bank account is listed, choose Add a Bank Account, enter the routing number and account number, then enter them again to confirm. The destination must be a U.S. bank account.

Check every digit before submitting the details. Apple warns that an incorrect account number can send the money to the wrong account and recovery may not be possible.
Set up or choose a debit card
To use Instant Transfer, select Instant Transfer. If no eligible card appears, tap Add Card and follow the Wallet prompts. The card must be an eligible debit card issued in the United States; not every debit card qualifies. Review the fee shown on screen before confirming.

Fees, timing, and transfer limits
Apple Support’s 2026 transfer guide states that bank transfers generally take 1–3 business days and have no transfer fee. Instant Transfer generally arrives immediately, but Apple says it can take up to 30 minutes; security checks can take longer. These are estimates, not guaranteed arrival times.
Apple Support lists the Instant Transfer fee as 1.7% of the amount, with a $0.25 minimum and $25 maximum. The exact fee appears before the transfer is completed.

- Apple Cash is available in the 50 U.S. states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. Bank-transfer destinations must be in the United States.
- Standard Apple Cash users must be at least 18 and U.S. residents. A family organizer can set up Apple Cash Family for someone under 18.
- Apple says users must be at least 13 to transfer to or from an eligible debit card and use Instant Transfer. Family members under 13 can transfer to a bank account; teens 13 and older can use a bank account or eligible debit card.
- Device and software requirements apply. Apple advises using the latest iOS or iPadOS.

Troubleshoot a missing option or delayed transfer
- No transfer option or destination appears: Update your device software, check device and debit-card eligibility, and confirm that you have entered the correct routing and account numbers. Check whether you have reached a transfer limit or whether identity verification is requested.
- A transfer is blocked or unavailable: Check Apple System Status and your network connection. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account for iCloud and iMessage, and check whether your Apple Cash account is restricted or locked.
- Instant Transfer has not arrived: If it has not arrived after two hours, contact an Apple Cash Specialist at Green Dot Bank.
- Bank transfer has not arrived: If it has not arrived after three business days, contact support.
