Paycor time tracking can happen through the Paycor Mobile app, a web punch, a shared tablet station, or a dedicated time clock. The right route—and whether an employee can use it—depends on the employer’s Paycor setup. If you need to clock in or out, start with the method your organization has enabled; if you manage timekeeping, compare the available options before choosing a shared or fixed station.
How to clock in and out with Paycor
Paycor’s time and attendance tools support mobile, web, kiosk, and dedicated-clock punches. Employers configure which methods their employees can use, so a missing clock-in option may reflect the organization’s setup rather than an app problem. Paycor describes its time and attendance system as connected to payroll, but a specific customer’s contract may not include every feature or device option. See Paycor Time and Attendance.
Use the Paycor Mobile app
Employees with access can use Paycor Mobile for clocking in and out, viewing time cards, reporting missed punches, and other timekeeping tasks. The app also lists time and schedule features such as transfers and PTO requests. Your employer must enable the relevant access and workflow. See Paycor Mobile.

A web punch suits employees who clock in from a computer, but the employer must enable web clocking for the workforce. If you do not see a punch option, ask your manager or Paycor administrator which method you should use.

Use a shared kiosk or dedicated clock
Employers can set up a tablet as a shared Time Mobile Clock station or use a fixed PT300, PT400, or PT800 time clock. These are organization-managed options; employees should follow their worksite’s instructions for the station or device. What to know about mobile punch location
Paycor describes geovalidation for mobile punches, but location capture is conditional: the employer must enable the feature, and organization settings and policies determine its use. This is a punch-location capability, not evidence that Paycor continuously tracks employees. Ask your employer how location is handled for your organization’s mobile punches. What to check before choosing a tablet time clock
Paycor’s comparison lists Android 11 and iPad 17 for the Time Mobile Clock. Operating-system support can change, and the listing does not endorse a particular tablet model. Before buying hardware, confirm the current device and software requirements, as well as the employer’s planned setup. Also check whether the station needs mounting, reliable power, offline punch capture, or facial recognition for the intended workflow. See Paycor Time Clocks.
Fix a missing punch option or timecard issue
- No clock-in button: Check with your Paycor administrator or manager to confirm which punch methods are enabled for your organization.
- Mobile punch or location prompt differs: Ask whether mobile clocking and location validation are enabled and what policy applies.
- Missed punch: Paycor Mobile supports reporting missed punches, but follow your employer’s approval and correction process.
- Timecard looks wrong: Review the time card in the app if available, then use your organization’s established correction or approval workflow.
Does Paycor include every clock option?
Not necessarily. Public product information describes multiple timekeeping methods, but it does not establish which features, devices, or plan terms a particular customer has. Confirm entitlement and availability in your organization’s Paycor account or with Paycor before selecting a device or assuming a feature is included.
